My family and I had a terrible experience with GC Flight, and I would never book with them again. Booking a helicopter ride to the Grand Canyon from the start was a disaster. I booked a tour for 3 of us at the beginning and I got a confirmation email from them that the tour was booked and locked in for that date. About 30 minutes later, I got an email from a lady named Leslie telling me "Unfortunately, the tour you selected is sold out". This was a red flag from the start because why would you let me book a tour for a specific date/time along with sending me a confirmation email and later telling me that it's sold out? However, she ended up finding another helicopter tour around the same weekend and gave me a discount of $100 for the inconvenience.
Now after everything was booked, we began driving to the address they sent me for that day, and I even received a call from them saying that everything was good. When we got there, the lady at the front desk told us to step on a footprint that was on the ground to confirm our weight with what we entered online. After she took our weight, she CONFIRMED that we were all good and sent us to a side room to watch a safety video. 5 minutes into the safety video we got called to come back up to the front desk and there was a different lady who claimed she was the manager. She told us that two people in our party were OVERWEIGHT compared to the information that was given to them online and one person wouldn't be able to ride in the helicopter. This was a flat-out lie from the manager because how is the girl at the front desk going to confirm our weight and send us to go watch a safety video? When the manager went to the back to print out the paperwork for our refund, I asked the girl at the front desk if we were really overweight because that didn't sound right. She was honest and told us that we weren't overweight, however, the total weight of the helicopter had to be a certain amount and the helicopter seats 5 people. I personally feel that the other party either lied about their weight or they brought an extra person without adding them online and with us booking after them we got bumped off. Nonetheless, if that was the case GC Flight and the manager that I talked to that day should have been honest and come clean instead of straight-up lying and being really disrespectful. That manager was unprofessional and truly doesn't deserve to have the title "Manager" with how she handled the situation that day. I typically don't like writing reviews due to how time-consuming it is, but the experience was so bad that I had no choice but to come on here and type up this long review. If I could give them 0 out of 5 stars I truly would. This company is way too unprofessional, and I wouldn't recommend...
Read moreLet me tell you why GC Flight is the best company to deal with. First and foremost they are on time! They are a small family owned company that focuses on your satisfaction. Theyâre going to pick you up in a Mercedes Van that is extremely nice. Each seat had iPads for entertainment. Your trip will not be rushed! Their pricing is amazing! Worth every penny. Honestly I would have been willing to pay even more for my experience after it was said and done. Their helicopters are very nice and up to date. Upon arriving to your spot at the canyon the pilot takes the time to set up a table for you and your guest with a table cloth, napkins, utensils, some flowers etc. Truly the whole 9 yards! The food they served us was great! The portions were huge!!! Nobody in our group was able to eat everything they had on their plate. We landed in the canyon at the perfect spot and it was just us! Peaceful and quiet with stunning views! was a very private setting! We watched as other tourism companies landed off in another area. At one point there was like 6 or so helicopters all in that one area. This would have definitely taken away from the experience being that there is constant traffic in and out of their spots. Not to mention we landed at our spot before them and all of the other Helicopters ended up leaving before us. That shows you that some of the other tours are all about the dollar and want to get you there and back as quick as possible.
Our pilot knew the area very well and explained the geography. This trip was much more than a sightseeing experience. We learned so much along the way. He piloted the helicopter in the canyon where all of our group could see stunning views.
I did my research prior to booking my tour and Iâm glad I did. GC is rated the highest for a reason! Everyone who has been on a GC tour can all agree that itâs like no other tour that theyâve been on.
Iâll be back for more each time Iâm in Vegas! Im sure all of their pilots are great but if possible request âMaddogâ. He himself took our experience to the next level! Iâve included a pic of his business card in the images if youâre interested.
If you havenât already booked your flight DO IT! Youâll come back to thank me for...

I booked a "Helicopter Floor Landing with Picnic & Limousine" tour in March of 2022. Emphasis on word "Limousine". Here is how it unfolded. Issue Number 1: Originally, at the time of the booking the pick up time from hotel was 11;30 am. Two days before the tour, I get a call from Papillon that our pickup time has been changed to 8:20am instead. When I asked, why they did not tell us ahead of time? Their answer: Oh..you booked thru GC flight, they should have communicated it to you. I said, just like now, you called me directly on my cell phone to inform me, why couldn't you contact me before? They didn't have an answer to that. Issue number 2: As the name of the tour suggests, we should have had a limo to pick us up. Well, we were picked up in a regular shared shuttle bus. When I questioned that, their answer was the same...GC flights should have informed you of the switch. Issue number 3: Right before the flight, we were charged $30 per person fuel surcharge. I can understand that because in March, fuel prices were much lower. But this should have been communicated to us ahead of time..right? When I brought this up to the manager at the location, same thing...dumped it on GC flight. So, not only there was no Limo, they slam us with fuel surcharge. Issue number 4: The tour was explained to us as 45 flight to GC, 30 min on the GC floor with Champaign toast and then 45 min ride back to LV. We barely got 20 min in the GC floor..rush rush rush...and then fly you back. Bonus: One of their helicopters broke down on the GC floor, stranding the tourists in the GC floor..may be not the worst thing for the tourists as they got extra time on GC floor but that tells you the level of maintenance of the...
