Everyone at PAWS makes a great team. Our animals that are abandoned, lost, stray, so lucky to have a place to go. Our dog, Aspen, who had been there over 400 days, was brought out with love and care by Whitney. You can tell all of the staff/volunteers and care a great deal for the well-being of all animals. During our 1st visit, we talked in length of Aspen's behavior, breed mixes, health, behavior, and even treats she likes. When we walked her the 2nd visit, every person that Aspen recognized would have to have a little loving with her. It was great to see them help her come out of her shell. You could tell they were excited to see she was chosen. On the 3rd visit, we were told we could bring her home...SO EXCITED!! They were many who had to say their goodbyes, but they were happy goodbyes. PAWS made sure all of her medical paperwork, rabies tag, microchip & paperwork, everything was in order & ready to go...along with a bag of toys, bag of food, & some treats to pick ok the way out. Aspen has been flourishing; enjoying long walks, a nice fenced-in backyard, her princess bed, all the loving she can get, her behavior is wonderful..such a blessing. Thank you so much, PAWS, for truly being a Heavenly Team to take such good care of these innocent souls and create a safe place that works so hard to make the lives better one...
Read moreDO NOT SURRENDER STRAYS HERE! Find another shelter. Until today all my experiences have been great. I fostered through them for a couple years probably around 2013. I adopted two cats and a dog throughout many years back as far as 2008 and had no troubles. If you're adopting, then they are so kind and wonderful. If you find strays(I found kittens with two moms helping each other), the director is horrible and judgemental. The workers seem very nice, unfortunately. One person said they'd help and was kind and would call me back but I never got a call back. So two days later, I called. The first lady I spoke to was kind but confused and didn't have information. She transferred me to the director who was absolutely cruel and horrible to me. I'm not sending these strays here. I will either find them homes or find a different shelter. If the director treats people this way, I don't want to know how they...
Read morewe called last week to turn in our HOUSE cat. expressing we wanted her to find a home.
come to find out from animal control they had us on the trap and release form. they would have thrown our cat onto the street if we hadnt talked to the animal control lady when we did.
they even tried to lie to our faces about it when we showed up to ask questions. i SAW the release forms for house cats on another carrier in the room we were in. it was different than the stray release form we were given.
i thought i was bringing my pet to a safe place where she could find a home with people who would take care of her, because i am no longer capable. it would have been nice if they would hage just been honest with me from the start.
it just felt like they were trying to get 40 dollars out of us instead of doing whats best...
