I visited the ER a week ago, and was seen by Dr. Jeff Audibert. I was diagnosed with mild pancreatitis, but was given no discharge instructions, no explanation about the condition, and no warning about medications I should avoid — despite having documented use of Mounjaro for weight loss. I left the ER believing the issue was minor, only to find out later from another physician that this was more serious and I should never have taken Ozempic, which had just been prescribed. By then, I had already taken my first dose.
This kind of oversight could have had dangerous consequences. But unfortunately, this wasn’t the first time I’ve had a negative experience with Dr. Audibert.
Earlier this year (late February or early March), I came to the ER concerned about blood in my stool. Dr. Audibert dismissed my concern, suggesting that I had probably “eaten a chip or a nut” and scratched my colon, which he claimed explained the bleeding. During my more recent visit, when I again showed evidence of blood on tissue, he implied that I had placed something in the toilet to make it look like blood — a completely disrespectful and unprofessional accusation.
As a patient, I expect to be heard, taken seriously, and treated with dignity — especially when I’m scared and in pain. I left both visits feeling dismissed, unheard, and deeply frustrated.
I strongly urge Dr. Audibert and the ER team to reflect on how they treat patients and to improve communication, professionalism, and basic human respect. Patients deserve...
Read moreWorst experience, I should have dealt with whatever it was on my own or traveled further for help. I had numbness in my face, mouth, arms, stomach and my hands going to stiff. They took my blood and said everything looks good, but you may exhibiting signs of Neuropathy and told me he could refer me to a neurologist, but I'm not choctaw so he won't. That's fine, but his tone was very rude and off-putting. I tried telling him a bit more about what was going on because I felt awful right then and had no idea if I'd pass out. He said "don't worry about it you'll be discharged in 3 minutes" (again really rude and I know I wasn't being rude because I could barely speak without feeling like I would cry). Half an hour later I asked if I was getting discharged and she said "I don't have you on the board" I then heard the same doctor ask her what I was doing, I didn't hear her reply, but he said "she thinks she's getting out of here that quick after talking trash" all I did was call my husband and say "because I'm not choctaw he can't do anything for me here, come get me" . Worst experience ever. Nothing was solved and I'm still sitting at home going back and forth through this mess. I told them I was absolutely scared because I've not dealt with anything like this before, but for whatever reason I wasn't worth them doing their job today at least with not any compassion. If you go here it better be life or death and even then you...
Read moreWent Friday evening. Was triaged within an hour, which was much faster than I expected. Diagnostics and IV catheter placement completed or scheduled within 2 hours of arrival. My issue was not an immediate emergency, so the wait time was completely reasonable. Everyone was very kind and compassionate, particularly the lady that placed my IV. I am not a terribly nice stick, so I was very nervous about multiple pokes. But! That wasn’t necessary, so that’s an automatic four stars.
The nurse walking me through the CT went above and beyond with her kindness and it was much appreciated.
Thank you all....
