My mom, husband, and I came here during peach season with my 3 year old and 1 year old, and my friend and her 3 year old twins. We decided that instead of picking, we would buy our peaches, cider, and other goodies inside after the kids played. They bounced on the jump pad behind the store and then we started walking over to the treehouses. When we were way across the orchard from the store, one of the employees came running after us, literally chasing us down, to ask if we were going to pick peaches and to inform us that the property is not open for the public to "just come and play." I will note, their Facebook said it was $5 per person "to pick peaches" not to just to step foot on the grounds. We were essentially reprimanded and made to look like crooks for our kids playing on the play equipment without paying admission. Mind you, we each then spent quite a chunk of money in their store (on top of the $5 per person fee). I was so sad and embarrassed to be treated in such a way, that I will not be returning. I much prefer both Red Barn Farm and Cider Hill which do not charge admission, and offer way...
Read moreWesson isn't far from where I live, so it was a nice ride out there. I saw alot of kids and families out there. It cost $6each to pick apples. We had Apple Cider slushies $5 each. For 2 of us that is already $22. They gave us a small bag and said it would hold about 5lbs worth of apples. They had different things in the store (jams, pies, cider etc) alittle pricey. We tried walking down several aisles of trees..but the apples were way to high for us to reach. We had to walk out far to reach some that were at our level. Then when we got back, it cost $2 per pound..so two bags of apples (about 5-6 per bag) came out to almost $19! Were going to to look around and buy some other items but $40 was alot to pay for 2 ppl. I used to take my kids apple picking all the time, but if I would have taken them today (3) it would've been super expensive. I did see kids on a jumping thing and small zip line, but I have no clue is those things were free, or there was another fee attached. The kids seemed to be having a good...
Read moreWe had the best adventure to Weston’s Apple orchard! There was so much to do that we couldn’t actually get to it all but we will be back!! This time we enjoyed the zipline, obstacle course, the playhouses, feeding goats, bounce yard and of course picking apples! They had a beautiful garden that had monarch butterflies everywhere! It was magical and we got amazing photos. Inside the main barn we tried delicious strawberry lemonade slushies, apple donuts and roasted cashews. The boys were totally worn out by the end of our trip which was a big win! I will recommend taking a baby carrier versus strollers. The terrain is somewhat on a hill and the orchard slopes down aswell. So if you’re running after big kids, tennis shoes and a push free option would be optimal! Also wanted to mention the price for admission is only 15$ per child. Babies are free. We spent around $50 for 2 kids, all amenities , a full bag of apples and delicious treats for them after. Very affordable considering many alternatives have become...
