I’ve never stayed here but attempted to utilze their service for a free shuttle to Oktoberfest and oh my goodness it was a nightmare with the RV Icicle creek park staff. We have a family cabin near by that has been there since the 60’s. The customer service at this place was not something I have ever experienced in Leavenworth. The Leavenworth Oktoberfest provides a free shuttle service for anyone attending the festival. It clearly advertises the stops, times and is free to anyone attending the festival. As we entered we were welcomed in by guests of the property and directed to the pick up area. We used their bathroom facilities (which we later found out we were not supposed to use, it wasn’t marked anywhere that it was for guests only and we apologized.) Afterward a female manager came out and promptly told us we were not allowed on the property. We explained the free shuttle pick up, showed her the flyer where is marks this location as a pick up. She laughed at us and told us we needed to leave immediately. She also mentioned our car that is parked near their property would be towed (we walked from out Cabin and assured her that vehicle was not ours.) we left promptly not wanting to cause more of a scene and Walked to the sleeping lady pick up- along the way we called the Shuttle worried about the mix up. They assured us anyone can get picked up at the RV Icicle Park. She apologized profusely and told us the sleepy lady was just down the street. Once at the sleeping lady we went to the office and confirmed we were allowed to get picked up - we were welcomed with open arms SUCH sweet people. Then as we were waiting ANOTHER staff member from the RV park drove down to ask us again to move our vehicle since it was going to be towed. We assured him AGAIN, we have a long time family Cabin here and did not have a vehicle anywhere near their property. We also clarified we spoke with Oktoberfest representatives and the said we were allowed to get picked up at their location. He stated we were wrong and that he had enough of “you people.” (Something that we were very offended by considering multiples members of our party are ethnically diverse.)We explained we were disappointed with their customer service. Over all so upset people in Leavenworth would act this way. Would never recommend this place to anyone due to their customer service or...

Beautiful, well maintained grounds with mature trees and plenty of shade and a great location on the river.

However, these benefits cannot make up for terrible traffic flow for vehicles and poor customer service. In addition, there are a number of unsaid and unmarked park rules and regulations of which anyone staying or visiting may run afoul.

For example, when exiting or entering the facility, please be aware that there is only one lane of permitted traffic. This can often result in face offs between vehicles with the entering vehicle needing to stay on the left and the exiting vehicle being forced into crossing over to the wrong side of the road on the left (welcome to England). The exiting vehicle then needs to stay in a holding area on the left until all entering vehicles have proceeded into the park. This causes long delays and backups, especially on Fridays and Sundays with multiple large RVs coming and going. This confusing arrangement is NOT marked on pavement and the inevitable conflicts result in overly aggressive Camp "facilitators" yelling at one or both drivers to direct them into this chaotic pattern.

In addition, there are multiple parking spots that are reserved for cabins and RV spots, without being marked as such, causing more potential for conflict.

Due to the level of stress encountered when visiting or staying here, I cannot recommend either visiting or staying here until:

an additional lane of traffic or a "through loop" is constructed All dedicated parking spots are clearly marked as such and for which cabin or spot. The staff on site are given additional training in courtesy and customer service demeanor. It is not the visitor or camper that has the privilege of being their customers, but rather their privilege to have us as customers. They need to thus improve their respectfulness...

Don’t overlook the “RV” in the title- there is no tent camping allowed, and even tent-trailers are few and far between. Despite some nit-picky rules (clotheslines are banned and the hot tub is strictly for 16 and above), the many upsides make this one of our favorite places to stay in Leavenworth.

The location is stunning: sites are nestled between hills alongside the Icicle river with views of sleeping lady. The surrounding land is public, so the views across the river are unmarried by houses and there are plenty of rocks and ridges to climb and explore. There’s a nice, sandy wading beach along the river, and a grassy field with horseshoe pits near the front.

The place is extremely pet friendly- nearly everyone had at least one dog, and most of the people were friendly too. Seniors dominated, with many staying for the whole summer. As such, a few residents could be somewhat territorial at times (we got told to “keep it down” at 5 pm one day). Yet we also made new friends from around the country. WiFi is free but slow and spotty; the same is true for cell service. Laundry is provided, along with a small free library and VHS collection. Coffee and cookies are provided in the morning at the main office. Showers are free.

All sites have hookups. There’s great variety in site quality. Most have fire pits and picnic tables. Some are more spacious, facing the woods or the river. Others are more cramped. Which site you can get depends on the size of your rig, and how long you plan on staying. Staff will help back you in. One car is allowed per site; for extras you have to pay a daily rate and park in an overflow lot. You also have to pay per adult staying at your site and there is a strict 5 adult policy. Cabins have an overhead fan, a porch and...

Stayed 3 nights in site 90. This was one of my favorite rv parks mostly because of the location. Sites: concrete pad and level although there was a hump we had to back up that made it a little difficult to hitch up and unhitch but not terrible. All utilities were easily accessible and we had good water pressure. Sites are only big enough for tow vehicle and rv (you will have to have a pass if you have a second vehicle and park in an overflow parking) we were however lucky enough to just barely squeeze our second vehicle. Bathrooms were very clean! Activities: hot tub on site ( it was closed when we were there probably because it was almost 100°F). Horseshoe ring and small sandy area where you can take a dip in the icicle river. Park: it was a little tight driving through the park with a 42 ft 5th wheel but didn’t have any issues. The park had a nice Bavarian vibe to it and had some gorgeous scenery and a nature trail that you could walk to access the resort next door. Wi-Fi was decent but definitely not the best, we were however able to stream some movies in the evening. Less than 10 minutes from downtown Leavenworth and about 30 minutes drive to Colchuck lake trailhead. Loved the park and will definitely stay again if near Leavenworth again.

We camped here in a 29 foot travel trailer on a very busy Labor Day weekend. The sites are small with no privacy but the area is beautiful. It was one of the better private campgrounds we have stayed in. We usually stay in state park campgrounds. It was very expensive since they raised the price for the holiday weekend. The staff was very accessible and friendly. They directed us to the site and directed us while backing the trailer in which was very nice. They were very aware of how crowded the campground was and came to tell us that they opened another exit to leave to make it safer. The campground was very clean despite the crowds. We love the location of the campground. There are many hiking opportunities nearby. It is fairly close to the center of Leavenworth. You do need to drive there. We were not interested in spending a lot of time in the center because of the crowds. We would definitely camp there again when we go to Leavenworth.
