Just make sure if you are scheduled for a tournament here and it rains the day before. This park will cancel games because their grass is so precious! Sad when hundreds of people travel out of state here. Then to find out the next morning they were inspecting their fields because it rained there the day before. Then they totally closed the park not even an hr. before the tournament was about to start. So, we decided to drive up and check since we were already near by at the hotel. Fields were perfectly fine. Grass was a little damp but they were NOT soggy or standing water at ALL! We could understand if they were flooded, standing water, soggy and or just torn up from if they played in the rain the day before. However, there wasn’t anything at ALL to be concerned with that may even hurt the fields. SAD! Don’t have a park if you are so afraid of your grass being wet and wanting it perfectly dry. Just an FYI for your park advisor. Actually, fields that are really dry can become damaged quicker. So, think about that one before you...
Read moreIf you are playing on grass fields and there is any plans for rain don't book a hotel. They cancled all games Saturday and Sunday just due to rain and fields being wet. My kids have been playing soccer since they were 4 so between all of them we have 16 yrs of soccer and about 12 of that has been travel soccer. Never have we been canceled because of just rain to protect the fields. The amount of money lost overall to parents for the weekend to travel plus stay in hotel is gotta be insane. Could have spared them an extra day in hotel expenses by canceling at least on Saturday all Sunday games. This is most rediculous park and I would recommend anyone having a tournament to find other accommodations. Soccer is to be played in all but thunder...

I'll agree that the facilities are pretty impressive. However, the management of those facilities and the fields leaves MUCH to be desired. Today, a preseason high school soccer tournament had multiple games cancelled for RAIN. Not thunderstorms, not lightning, not heavy winds. RAIN. A 30-minute rain caused the CANCELLATION of 29 high school games. Several of these teams had traveled more that 3 hours for this tournament, but because the fields got wet, the WCSP staff refused to let games occur. Sad and...
