Mastercraft Truck Caps — Local services in Leominster

I’m going to be extremely honest with this review I live five hours away from this establishment. I called him yesterday to tell him I was gonna come up and pick up a cap that they had in stock. He did say he would not be able to install because his lead time was a couple weeks out and that I could get on the schedule. unfortunately, I needed it ASAP After getting up there, I finished paying for the cap that I had placed a deposit on. They put it on my truck. I asked the employee who, by the way was extremely nice. If for some reason he could finish the hook up of the lights and so on.Agreeing to and knowing that there would be an additional charge and he said our next appointment isn’t for an hour and 20 minutes as long as the owner don’t mind, I would be happy to! he went in and asked. The owner who automatically shot him down as I said, I was never promised any installation, but One would think since there’s plenty of time and I am a customer that just paid over $2500 the owner would allow the willing employee to complete the job not to mention the owner would make more money doing so! I changed my rating because his response was true but he definitely had time to finish my job but for some power striking reason he wouldn’t…..NO...

The owners response says it all, "it not our problem" he could have sent an invoice to be paid, or sent a Venmo address for the deposit. We agreed to a price and a deposit amount. We passed on other options to work with them. Thier word obviously means nothing, so why would thier warranty or after sales be any better.

The owner posts a bunch of truck caps on marketplace and then just bait and switches. We discuss a truck cap that have been there for weeks and told them we were ready to purchase, he wanted to deposit to hold it but then couldn't take any type of online payment and wanted a phone call instead. We tried the rest of the afternoon to get a hold of him and then the next morning he marked it sold. We finally got a hold of someone in the morning thinking that he had marked it sold for us only to find that he had decided to sell to somebody else. If you're going to sell online and require deposits then you need to take online deposits or answer your damn phone. If this is how poor the before sales experience is going to be I hate to see how bad it be...

After searching high and low for a cap for my 1996 F350, I found a used one on Facebook, and the seller referred me to Mastercraft Truck Caps. As it turns out, he was one of their installers!

As an added bonus, they agreed to install an aftermarket internal support system to enhance the weight limits and support, making it perfect for my roof tent.
