This is my first trip to Texas Roadhouse. I had driven by it yesterday and interestingly Google alerted me to an article about what I should expect. And I it was pretty accurate. The hostess wasn't friendly. The bartender constantly drove the upselling marketing to the point of irritation. They did not honor their $11.99 dinner price which it says is available Monday through Thursday and in teeny tiny print in the bottom of the menu it says that they may not offer it on holidays. It wasn't just that though. Bartender Sabrina kept pressuring me for drinks. She definitely over served a couple next to me who had a margaritas and then followed by one of the largest beers I've ever seen! The assistant manager I think her name was Amy completely bypass me going to the four top at the bar and saying well if there's anything I need you need please let me know I'm here for you and I'm like what am I chopped liver? I actually pulled her aside and asked her is it normal that you would suggest singles go to the bar? I could have had a totally different experience had the hostess seated me in a primo place in the dining room as a single diner.
The bread was good with the cinnamon butter. The appetizer ribs and steak fries was plenty. Why bother ordering the larger size? I had a blue lemonade which was great a non-alcoholic drink I didn't see that the bartender was promo in any of those interestingly enough!
I found the crowd to be a huge drinkers. I would have preferred to have been in a place where I didn't have to watch the blabbering mouth from drunken people.
The timing was okay. After the initial meeting with the bartenders who came over twice insisting that I have something to drink, she left me alone for 15 minutes so I could decide what I wanted to eat.
I found it to be just a mediocre. The ribs were okay. The steak fries were okay. The drink was nothing special beautiful color blue though.
I definitely would skip this. I had intended to get my son a gift card for him and his girlfriend because this is convenient to where he lives however I'm going to skip that too I would much rather they go somewhere else where they would be appreciated and I didn't feel appreciated at all.
And an interesting thing happened on the way out. Another senior citizen a male was having a conversation that sounded quite with that same hostess. I overheard her say well that would be something that the waitress would do. The man instead of being happy that he went to Texas Roadhouse went out grumpy sat in his car with his wife discussing it when I left they were still in the car. That's no way to have it afternoon out that's not a good feeling.
Any good establishment has the capability of listening to a customer and helping them solve a resolve a problem. This is not the place to go for that this is a get them in get them out establishment.
Me and my 7 million reviews I suggest go anywhere else. The prices were outrageous by the way just in case you were wondering. There were no prices on the drink menu at all which is an open to bartender discrepancies and you have no backup to say hey why is my drink $8? Because there's nothing to prove...
Read moreThis was one of my favorite places to dine.. we are asked to support our community business.. but when a place like this is so popular and then bring raw meat to your table without asking for raw meat I don’t believe that a pork chop should come raw, yet I believe he was the manager did not introduced himself as a manager continue to defend the kitchen or whoever cooked this pork chop that a lot of people do order it this way. Well, I’m not just a lot of people I did not order it raw and thank God that the one piece that I did eat WhichI was not paying attention I was in conversation with my boyfriend but when I chewed and the taste was awful I looked down and saw the raw chop!! Thank god the one piece I did eat did not make me sick. I’ve brought my boyfriend there three times and three times his steak comes back raw from asking medium well so I believe this place Texas roadhouse needs to either train the cooks or get better cooks or do something because at the end of the day if I would’ve gotten sick and ended up in the hospital, they would’ve been hit with a lawsuit so please take responsibility for your crew and what you’re doing in the kitchen. I’m very very disappointed and I would not recommend anyone from here on in. I have given this place 3 chances in the last 3 months!! how embarrassing it is to bring someone for dinner and have such bad experiences.. Texas Road you need NEW...
Read morel called last night around 7:15 and ordered 3 dinners and a cactus blossom. I was told it would be 25-35 minutes. My son went to pick it up at 7:45 and paid for it. He waited and then at approx 8:15 he was given a bag and told it was our order, He replied it couldn't be because it only contained two meals. The girl told him to check it - he did- and it was not our order. A few minutes later he was told they had given our order to the people who had picked up right before us. At 8:21 they told him they would make it again. When it was ready they brought it out to his car and he checked it again. Now it did not contain the 3 salads he had ordered as one of the sides. She had to go back in again and get the salads. We live 5 minutes down the road and everything was barely warm when he brought it home and one of the steaks was dry and overcooked. This to me is unacceptable. i have worked in the restaurant business for 40 years and I know that sometimes things happen but to me this is just either people not paying attention or simply not caring. Too bad. We do take-out a lot and we have always overlooked a lot of missing items from there - potato - salad - salad dressing - chili and all the loaded items and that is why when we order from you we always check the bag. . More times than not they have to get the items. We know this and still keep coming because the food is usually very good; but last night was one of the worst. UPDATE: After posting this review I was contacted by Texas Roadhouse and offered a gift card. I really appreciated that because it shows they care about their patrons. We used it shortly after and were very pleased with everything. We have been back since and have been happy with the food and the service. Thank you. I have changed my rating from one...
