My 9 year old son and I went on the Rock and Roll ride and never got strapped in. The ride operator came up to our ride while we were in it to see if it was broken and my son was at the top because I’m heavier than him and the ride operator starts rocking it (spinning it) really hard without us being strapped in. We told him we weren’t strapped in and were like “what are you doing? stop” and my son went completely upside down not strapped in and fell straight down on top of me and the ride and hit his head on the metal and the ride operator said “oh shit you’re not strapped in” and proceeds to strap my son in and we said no we aren’t riding anymore give our tickets back. Read moreOyster Festival!! This is a fantastic location for this festival. They have established restrooms (not portable pottys) which were clean and well stocked. This particular Festival offered many many options for food. The band, Miles Deep Band provided quality music and there was plenty of seating available while listening. I would recommend more activities for children as these were somewhat limited. Parking was an issue as there were far too few attendants on-site to direct people where to park and this created quite a log jam. Read moreUpdate: I have been to a couple of other fairs, and while the St. Mary's fair is certainly good as is, some other fairs have adopted the concept of one price. For $10 you get entry and unlimited rides. That certainly would make the St Mary's fair a better value.
Great time. Check the schedule for ride deals, a few days they offer all you can ride for a fixed fee, Friday during the day they offer on ticket rides for kids. They have a good assortment of food choices as well. They display prize winning produce and animals to see. They also have various shows each day....
