Oak Lane Golf Course — Local services in Leroy Township

When making a tee time always ask if they have overbooked the course with an outing that coincides with your tee time. Courses are hard up for revenue and can't seem to balance the need for customer service vs. revenue. Incident occurred on 09/01/23 involving a MSU alumni group around 11 am. We had an 11:32 at which time there were three groups on the first hole, and at least two more groups waiting. Had to leave, wasn't planning on playing outing pace, and you were at least a half hour behind. Thanks for the refund.

Always ask if they're going to let groups out to cut you off at the turn. On an earlier round this year we encountered an 8 some playing on the back nine, having started their elephant hunt on 10. We got through them but our friends in the group behind us didn't. Two long time customers announced they'd never return and they haven't.

Course is good for the money, and I've played here forever so three stars but your tee management situation needs some...

This was my home course for about four years. played here week in and week out.

carts maybe little run down but staff are super nice and the greens are maintained beautifully. all for really reasonable price.

there was never a starter guy here but everyone who used to play here were really nice and all kept pace of play.

Past year and this season. the pace of play got really awful.

There is bunch of 6 player groups on a weekend and most of them young kids don't know how to play ready golf. so other groups get backed up and have to wait 20 minutes per hole.

no starter or course marshal makes this an agony for most of the rounds.

I thought it could have been a one off day and gave my beloved home course 4 visits this season and every single day was like this.

I will not be returning and will be driving further down the road.

Terrible experience. No golf carts available. Facilities are terrible. Women's bathroom is disgusting. Hot mess all around. We've waited over 30 minutes and still no carts. Currently 15 minutes past our tee time and no carts in site. There are several other people waiting for carts as well, some with tee times even before ours. The carts we've seen drive by are in very rough shape. Definitely won't ever be back. Only reason we haven't left is we prepaid for the round. This experience is definitely not worth the price, even with the $45/person "deal" we got today.

Updating to 3 stars: Completely unprompted, staff was very kind, apologized, and offered free beer at the turn due to the wait on carts earlier today. Course...
