MWR Bowling Center — Local services in Lexington Park

Recent upgrades make the facility cleaner and inviting, sadly the customer service does not. After making reservations, and verifying with the manager when we arrived, we would not be able to bowl past two hours regardless of the emptiness of the alley. The manager told us quite tersley that she received a lot of calls and the place would be filling up. We paid for our lanes, bought soda, and played our games that we estimated we would finish in time since she made it quite clear we would be made to leave. The facility never got more than half full.The entire time we were made to feel that our presence was an imposition. I read another review prior to going that mentioned this same issue of rudeness. We bring our own bowling balls and shoes, clean all of our utensils/cups from the table, and bowl as a family 👨‍👩‍👧‍👧. We are a family of retired military and are accustomed to being treated with respect and kindness on military bases. This service was quite a surprise. I would typically attempt to discuss this with the establishment however I was told there is no one to inform, so I am informing future guests. This is a wonderful, clean facility and there are friendly employees however the manager treats you as though you are imposing just by being there. So disappointing. You have to make reservation dispite this place never being busy, the one women there is rude and always looks like she's always mad that she actually has to work for a change but the rest of the staff seems friendly. Also, despite having empty lanes all the time you won't be able to bowl for more than an hour and a half tops. I suggest the other bowling alleys in Prince Fredrick or Waldorf so you don't have to deal with entitled people that don't even...

Update 2024 down to a Star: What is going on there? The staff is beyond rude whether you call or come in person. You can only make a reservation, and we were told they were booked for a month. We had gone in bc a friend said 3 lanes remained open the entire time they were bowling. This makes it very difficult with zero local bowling alleys.
