Odd, uncomfortable store. Driving through and stopped in because we needed some cash and thought we would check out this store we drive by all the time. We would have bought something (even at their ridiculously exorbitant prices) but the rude woman at the register said they don't do cash back and pointed to the ATM. We looked around before we left and saw 3 people in the "restaurant" part of the store sitting in the customer seating area on their phones. I am assuming they worked there and had nothing else to do. We were the only people in the place and I know why! This store just makes you feel uneasy-- like you need to be looking over your shoulder the whole time. There is NOTHING inviting or pleasant here--there's a horrible, eerie yellow glow from the fluorescent lights and NO SOUND! Nothing! I mean, we could hear the sound of our own breathing ....it was like we were in a horror movie. We weren't welcomed in....and we weren't acknowledged when we left. The woman at the register just sat and glared at us. These people like insanely high prices and complete silence! From what we saw, they will definitely get it, because this is--- hands down, the most uninviting, most unwelcoming, uncomfortable, and weird store we have ever had the misfortune of visiting. Empty parking lot. Empty store. Empty "restaurant". Looks like we aren't alone in our low opinion...
Read moreRestaurant: Lil Sumthin Cafe. In the back end of the market. This review is not about the market. I walked in to this store because I was driving by and noticed there was a café inside and I had a hankering for fries. I got onion rings instead. This was on April 4 and the owner (Carla) told me that on Mondays in April that the special sandwich was going to be a Ruben...one of my favorites. I asked how much Sauerkraut do you put on the sandwich? Carla said "equal parts meat/Kraut" I was sold. Today I came for the Ruben...and I was not disappointed! Meat was tender, there was plenty of Kraut (i love a lot) and the sauce was homemade, not just a shot of thousand island...the sauce even had mustard, so I did not put on mustard like usual. Fries were OK, a bit dry, not sure...crispy though. I wish I had opted for onion rings instead, because the rings last Friday were awesome. Carla was fantastic and this is a great little hole in the wall place at a gas station...places up here in the PacNorwest where you often find great food, with owners who really care about the food they put out...stop by and give this place a try. All the upcoming specials she keeps telling me about is going to bring me back weekly...
Read moreThis store needs to be updated. The customer service attitude was good, unfortunately was overshadowed by the inability to actually assist. I was there to pickup a moving truck rental, (this market doubles as a uhaul rental location), but left without the pre reserved selected vehicle due to his computer system freezing. I called the customer service hotline, was placed on hold for over 30 min, so I called back in, was cold dropped into another department, although very friendly, was also unable to complete the rental. This was after stopping at 2 other locations that the app showed as having multiple vehicles available. The store itself is outdated, the computers he was working on were covered in dust and grease, and items are not clearly...
