A&D Market — Local services in Liberty

I loved coming here, I would always recommend anyone to A&D, but not anymore. I know one person isn't going to change anything, but it also needs to be known. Every time I go in and go to the register, certain foods are always a different price, their food is insanely over priced as last time I got an order of fries which is about the size of a small at McDonald's, it was $4 and they charge you per order. If you get a pizza, even though Hunt Brothers doesn't charge for toppings (the box literally says "all toppings, no extra charge"), they will charge you $1.50 for each topping outside of (1) topping and then only put the smallest amount they can get away with. There is only (1) person there that actually knows how to use the register, split payments, cash/card, etc. Everyone that works there is great with the exception of one person, and it is a woman named "Vanessa"; she is absolutely the rudest person I've ever dealt with in a retail setting. She has literally not only talked to me like I'm stupid, she has called me stupid on (2) occasions. Her attitude is inexcusable and her lack of knowledge of how to do anything in that store is unimaginable and reflects directly on the owners. I understand she may be their family but family or not, when you start effecting business, it's either time to have a good talking to or it's time to get rid of an employee. Everything combined with this "Vanessa" woman has further concreted my decision to not go back. I've lived all across the country and I've lived in a handful of places around the world, I've seen better pricing on food, snacks, drinks and tobacco at 7/11 in Los Angeles and Berlin than this store; FiveStar has better prices. Liberty, KY is one of the most economically destitute communities in Kentucky and yet the price of everything here is equivalent of West coast/Pacific northwest pricing and a lot of the citizens here are being robbed blind by the businesses and the...

I love the food, always prepared right, and tastes great. The down side is the staff doesn’t really like making the food. The past few times I’ve been in I’ve gotten “if you can wait a while and don’t have anywhere to be I will make it” I was the only one in the store, no previous orders. I heard about how much of a struggle it was to make the food until I left the store. If you call in an order I would recommend a lady named Tanya, she doesn’t mind at all administering the service you pay for there and is very friendly. I wasn’t going to write a review but after hearing griping about making any kind of food in the store 4 days straight, I won’t be returning. Very shady place on prices and cost, always double check your bank account to see what you were charged and always ask for a receipt. Depending on who is working and what day, your pizza especially may be $12, it may be $16 and everything in between. Will no longer get pizza from there and will no longer go back as my wife and I have both been over charged for things and my son who is 11 has been overcharged for things.
