My son and I forgot to pack some sunscreen on our way to Branched Oak Lake this morning so we made a quick stop at this store to buy some. It was literally within 5 minutes of the lake. Much closer than driving to Walmart, especially with today’s gas prices! I ended up being pleasantly surprised with the amount of items in this store. One side of the store carries the snacks/drinks (plentiful variety by the way) and the other side carries items perfect for a day out at the lake. We ended up grabbing not only the sunscreen spray, but also a grill lighter (forgot to bring this as well), and one of those Bug-a-Salt guns (trust me, they’re a blast!). What an improvement! This store has come a long way! The new remodel has really opened the place up- it's very clean, and offers a nice variety of beverages, snacks, and some grocery items that I don't have to drive into Lincoln to get. The manager is always super friendly and personable. Now that the live bait side is gone, they've added more fishing gear, camping gear, grilling essentials and anything you can think of that you may have forgotten to pack for your trip to the lake! Stopped at this place on my short camping trip to grab some forgotten supplies, and was not disappointed. They had everything I needed. A lot of good last-minute grabs were found here. The shop looked very clean and organized, and the owner was very friendly and helped me find what I needed to make sure my trip was safe and successful.
