I dont know what happened to this walgreens.. but in the last year the customer service has been going downhill fast.
However, it's one of the few 24hr pharmacies in town and I've been using them for years. Even when I lived on the far south side of town last year.. I still used this location every time.
Today that all changed.
I totally understand occasionally making a mistake, and it takes a LOT to tick me off.. and for the last year I've been just smiling and letting it go when I send in my order, get a text letting me know it's ready - just to get there and it not be ready. Ok, I'll just wait 15-20 minutes. No big deal. If that's all it was, I can tolerate it.
Today was the last straw, and I'm going to find a new pharmacy.
I sent my order in 2 days ago. The email I reviewed confirmed this and said it would be ready today. My husband went to pick them up for me and the lady said nobody ever put in an order. My husband tells me they are super busy, so I call and patiently wait the 10mins until someone answers
I explain the situation and the lady tells me "No. You didnt put the order in" (long pause) and adds "but I can do it now..." all annoyed.
Than she tells me my insurance wont cover it because my refill is too early (no its not). I explain that's impossible, she tells me that I must have sent it to a different Walgreens than. I understand shes busy, so I dont argue.. she let's out a huge sigh and said she would call the insurance company for me to cancel the "wrong order" and I thank her and hang up.
I decide to call my insurance company myself...
The insurance told me that I DID put the order into the correct Walgreens 2 days ago and someone "reversed" that order today before it was even filled... Than someone put 2 more orders in and reversed them again. He told me that the woman should be able to see that and said he sees my prescription as ready for pickup now.
That just killed it for me. Lying is where I draw the line. I'll go to...
Read moreToday I went through a really bad experience through the drive through customer service, after waiting by the window for over 20 minutes due to no one being there to help, then Krista a women that works there came to assist me instead she did the opposite of that and she started to speak with me in a really rude tone and said too me there is nothing available and before that she complained about the reason I gave her only one number that covers multiple people and mumbled “ this is unbelievable”, I showed her that there is for sure medicine available since I got a phone call and email and showed her the voice note, she started to raise her voice at me saying the there are none available and which made me uncomfortable and also my kids in the back hearing a women yelling at their father like that made them feel scared, I told her that I will give her a review on google for this type of disrespect, and she began to say she doesn’t care about the bad reviews, then I asked for assistance from a different person to assist me, she handed the phone in a very disrespectful way showing that she doesn’t want to communicate with me either way and I heard her say to the supervisor that came to assist me that “ I dont feel like talking to people like him”. When the supervisor started to assist me she told me that there is in fact a medicine ready, even though the supervisor was also talking with me in a tone that seemed like she doesn’t have time to assist me and wanted me to give her an exact name for the medication but I have no information of who the medicine is ready for due to me having 6 different names under my phone number. When I started to explain to the supervisor that I faced disrespect from Krista she kept on ignoring me when I talk about how Krista treated me which was also very disrespectful. And she told me that I need to go around the line because she needs to assist someone else right now so I did that and had to wait more then finally got...
Read moreJust called the pharmacy to put in a few refills and the girl on the phone, Krista I believe, was EXTREMELY RUDE. My mother who is an immigrant called to refill her prescriptions. She has an accent but is still a fluent english speaker. She asked Krista if she could refill all (3 total )of the prescriptions under a specific doctor. She got all of them together and is running low now. Krista refused to refill them without identification codes from the bottle. She said she did not "feel comfortable" refilling 3 prescriptions aimed for anxiety and stress and depression and told my mom she was not going to refill anything for her unless she had the names and number codes. She was very rude to my mother over the phone and made it seem like my mother was stupid for asking for a refill of medication she needed. I found her response and tone to my mother uphauling and had to interject on the phone call. I informed her we have never had a problem refilling all of our prescriptions at once and she told me that was not a thing and went to go consolidate with her superiors... someone else came back and was extremely helpful and did exactly as we asked the first time with no hesitation. Krista lied and I know this because they always do it for us. She clearly just did not want to do it for my mother based on her accent. Her demeanor changed when I, an American native took over and questioned her for her attitude towards my mom and the refill process. She got real quiet and passed the phone to someone who did just as we asked initially. Ma'am you were on speaker and I heard how you spoke to my mother before I stepped in and it was absolutely disgusting. We've used this pharmacy for over 13 years and have never had an issue until Krista today. Extremely...
