Crump Food Store — Local services in Linden

Prices are considerably high compared to other grocery stores in the county or in this region of north east Texas period. Not very many sugar free/diabetes friendly, carb smart, gluten free, or vegan options located here/ or formula an things of that nature.. Frozen items are also considerably over priced compared to other stores near by upwards of $3-$6 dollars on some products. I would highly recommend doing grocery shopping out of town or in another county all together if you're a young/new family looking to save money & get your dollars worth. We typically have to drive nearly 20+ minutes to an hour or so away to get decent prices on food for our dietary needs. Which is a hassel with gas prices the way they are. This store is outdated in selection materials. Overpriced for off brand items. An smelled so strongly of chemicals that the produce I bought tasted like it. They had no cheese or bags of frozen chicken, which are american grocery staples! A employee hassled me about buying on sale meat but most meat there was marked down for quick sale which is concerning because there is no way to tell if it will make you sick when you buy it. Shop at your own risk! If you don't mind throwing your money away & don't really care what you put in your body this place is perfect. But if you are used to better prices, conscious brands, an more in date variety just go to your preferred store. I just moved here and was more than disappointed. The store manager is a punk, a judgmental old prick, and isn’t a man of his word . My usual check cashing place in my town of Daingerfield closed down and directed customers to go to crumps in linden so I called him to make sure I could cash my check and he said “come on, we’ll cash it” so I go and when I get there he refuses to cash my check because my bosses address had a number sign that resembled an apartment number . Even after calling my boss on speaker in front of him he still refused .
