When you work in your own geographic area, you become familiar with the majority of Wedding/Special Event venues and many of the other Professionals that you might be scheduled to work with. However, we can’t just always work in our backyard, such was the case this last weekend where I was working almost 90 minutes south of the Lehigh Valley, at the Washington Crossing Inn, which was stunning. Undoubtedly because of the distance, the DJ and I had never worked together, Gregg from Dow Oak Events. After having over 1000+ Weddings and Special Events under my belt, I’m a pretty good judge of Professionalism and Gregg was a definite 5 Star Performer. He made sure he understood what I needed to accomplish, in the timeframe I was there and made time for all of it while keeping the party going. As far as wedding DJs go, Dow Oak Events is the best I've come across in recent memory. I'm extremely grateful that we found them when looking for a DJ for our wedding. We were assigned Dom as our DJ, and while the timeline between being assigned a DJ and when you get to talk to them cuts it pretty close to your wedding date, Dom was great about working around our schedules to speak with us and get an understanding of what we wanted out of our wedding. They also use an online platform where you can map out your needs and song requests, down to each section of the wedding.

At the wedding, Dom was amazing at keeping the energy up and reading the mood of the dance floor, while working within our vision for our wedding's playlist. He was also very communicative and made sure we knew before any special songs came on.

We also went with the photo booth option, which I definitely recommend! It was a hit with our guests of all ages. They offer a lot of props for the photo booth and also let you provide your own.
