We had a ton of fun! I grew up with the Mid South Fair in Memphis which was attached to Liberty Land, which is now permanently closed, so the only reasons I didn't give 5 stars are that nothing will ever compare to that for me and also I wish they had a coffee tent like Memphis always had. The child me would be so disappointed to read this, but when we went to the fair, my parents would walk the buildings and then while we'd go off to ride every ride in the place, they'd spend their time sitting in the Maxwell House coffee tent drinking free coffee. I remember thinking I'd never grow up to be the kind of adult who sits and drinks coffee while rides were an option. Boy, have I eaten those words. I'd have given anything for a coffee tent with even just affordable coffee. $8 for a drink is insane, so we kept running back to the arts building to fill our bottles with water. But we did have a great time. As always, we spend too much money, but I got henna for the first time and highly recommend the lady in the industry building who did the work. We also finally did the old Western photos. Way out of my comfort zone and I look so fat in the photos, but I did it with my sister and our daughters and it was so much fun to play dress...
Read moreHorrible experience. No parking available within a mile of the entrance. Food prices were extremely unreasonable for the quality being served. More than a few of the food service workers and the ride attendants were extremely rude and unprofessional. Every portable potty that I tried to use was beyond unsanitary and had zero access to toilet paper or any kind of hand sanitizer/soap/cleanser. The lines to the rides were so long I waited a total of 2 and a half hours and rode a whopping grand total of 3 rides. The entertainment was mediocre and not family friendly as far as being suitable for children. Security was far and few between. Paid $10 for parking, $10 for fair entrance, $30 for unlimited rides wristband, $21 for 3 small pork tacos, a bottle of coca cola, and a small funnel cake, plus $10 spent on games like dart throwing at balloons and water gun target game. Overall I spent an arm and a leg to walk around shoulder to shoulder with strangers and spend way too much of my hard earned money just to have a terrible Friday night that ended early just to end the agony of the entire fair experience. Will never make the mistake of going to the Arkansas State Fair ever again....
Read moreDon't waste your time or your money on this tragic place. It's out of control the crowd the things that happen when your trying to take your family out for a good time it's not happen. It was fights back to back, also it was somebody shooting and the police were running like a robot very slow to react. I'm not blaming the cop's for what took place I'm only blaming the fair for poor timing and they changed the dates they came early than normal the 19th of Oct is the original first date. Always rain so whn the rain stops it's so crowed with all these people who are looking to hve some fun or some who are just looking for trouble so whn the rain stops the Fair has an extra crowd of people. The price of the wrist bands are $30 so my 12yr old son and my granddaughter and my son friends , which are twin boys got wristbands and I promise to evrybdy the could not ride due to all the chaos and the overload of people they only were able to ride 5 rides. The food lines were jammed packed so they only ate at one food stand and it was a jumbo corndog. I was So mad I'm talking about my nerves was so over the top. All in All it was so bad I will never take my family anymore to this...
