The owner is extremely rude and condescending. Had to order a rental due to my car being totaled and I was in the middle of moving. She complained the ENTIRE TIME about us coming in at 4:52 (the shop closes at 5:30 and our appointment was 5:15 so we were actually early) because she wanted to “close her shop early to get across town and pick up her barbecue”...and yes, she continued to complain about this throughout the ENTIRE transaction even after I told her about my car being totaled and us being stranded at a hotel. Extremely unsympathetic. Then, after paying for my truck and tow, she asked if we’d driven one before and we said no but we’d figure it out. She made a horrified face and continued to say “ohhhh I’m worried for yall you’ll have a hard time driving”. As if we didn’t have enough stress and anxiety from the crash. And last but not least, the U-Haul dispatcher had told me on the phone that they could have someone load the car onto the tow for a $20 loading fee. When I mentioned this to the owner she drops her pen and looks up at me over her glasses and says “do I LOOK like I know how to load a car onto a tow? Honey. This is a GIFT SHOP.” Well...you are running a u-haul rental in the back of said gift shop soooo....??? She just did everything she could to make us feel stupid and guilty all because she couldn’t close up shop early to grab her barbecue. BY FAR the worst customer service I’ve experience of my life. If I could rate zero stars I would. This is the FIRST and ONLY one star review I’ve ever written and probably will be for a long time. That’s how terrible this...

Was pleasant at first, but when I got "picky", or wierd she called me!, she was indifferent and dismissive. I realize my $59 rental was not much, and paying $35 for insurance would have made it a lot easier.... but I think it's I have a right to protect myself, especially when She won't document anything (my system crashed, helping another customer, it's in your email). Really wish she wasn't the only locally...
