Italian Pizzeria and Restaurant — Restaurant in Live Oak

Service was great, food not so great. Like almost all restaurants in live oak and lake city, the food pretty much sucks all around. Soda was pretty flat and too concentrated, tasted like mostly syrup. Salad was a rip off, 5 dollars for a small portion of just romaine lettuce, tomatoes, a couple onion slivers and canned black olives. Pizza was good, pretty much a 3/5 which is high praise for the area. The pasta is not really home made as they state on their menu, the sauce is extremely liquid, tastes like watered down jar sauce. The vegetables in the pasta were definitely frozen and thawed out, they were also overcooked so much, the broccoli was mushy and yellow. The veggies also made the entire pasta taste like freezer (you know what I'm talking about). None of us at the table could actually eat more than a few bites of our meals. I have no idea why this place is rated so high?! More than likely fake reviews by friends and family, like most places in the area, especially like the 406 in town as well (another horrid restaurant, that fakes their reviews). This is our 3rd visit. Each time it has been different. Each time I say I won't come back.i may not after this time. The first time my food was ok my wife's wasn't. The second time hers was ok mine wasn't. Today we ordered our food pepperoni calzone and spaghetti with meat balls and two orders of garlic knots. The people at the next table got their garlic knots while they waited for thier pizza. We waited. We finally got our food...but no garlic knots. the girl who brought our food mentioned them and we waited while my food was getting cold. I also asked the same girl for parmesan She said she would be right back. Meanwhile my food is getting colder. Finally I went to ask see. And saw the girl who took my order. I asked again for parmesan, she was holding a container of some and said " um it's coming" I replied my food is getting cold. 40 minutes I finally received my entire order which was cold enough to be inedible even with the grated Parmesan. Thanks for nothing, next time we will probably go back to pomodoros They got our food right...

The only reason I'm giving 2 stars was the service was good and the pizza we got was pretty good. However, our pasta dishes felt like an Italian crab boil. It looked like someone threw in pasta with whatever else it is supposed to come with in a bag and steamed everything to cook it. The sauces were so watery and the veggies overcooked beyond recognition, it looked like someone just heated up a bag of frozen pasta. All I know is that the menu says the pasta dishes are cooked from scratch (so it takes 30min to make), from chicken scratch? Maybe, but not homemade. It was beyond awful and one of our family members ended up getting very sick after getting the pasta with shrimp.

I might go here again to try another pizza, but pasta? Forget it. Go buy some ramen or kraft Mac and cheese bc it's going to be cheaper and better than whatever was served here.

Also $5 for some chopped romained lettuce, a slice of onion and black olives? Save your money, taste buds, and disappointment.
