Royal Springs — Local services in Live Oak

Small yet stunning beautiful. The spring is of an average size but is not one of the high flow springs of the area, which means if you silt it up it will stay like that for a while before it clears. Excellent place to rope swing and play, snorkel and dive. I must say tho: i am all about exploring caverns and such BUT this cave is dangerous. Even the bubbles from your exhale will dislodge silt from the ceiling and very quickly become zero viz. People die here. There is not enough flow to clear the silt so once you disturb it, your not able to find the way out.

The spring has piles of fish and lots of green moss all over the bottom and a platform for divers at depth. Very beautiful when the weather is sunny. The walk is easy hundred yards or so to the stairs. Nice to have a cart but...

One of the most glorious places I have ever been I mean I don’t even have the words. We got there super early and had the whole spring to ourselves before the crowd started rolling in. The jump from the platform was scary but well worth it. Saw a squirrel, a few turtles and some fish. There’s multiple different ways to walk down to the spring and plenty of space for everyone and their things. Perfect place to float around; I was able to hang in my Floatie for about 40 minutes without having to swim back to where the group was. It was honestly so heavenly it doesn’t even feel real. I will come to this spring every time I visit my family in lake city from now on. Way better than driving out to littler river...

I had a wonderful time at Royal Springs, a beautiful and serene state park in Florida. The spring is crystal clear and refreshing, and the surrounding nature is full of wildlife and scenic views. I enjoyed swimming, snorkeling, kayaking, and hiking in this park, and I felt very relaxed and rejuvenated after my visit.

The only downside was that the restrooms were only portable, which was not very comfortable or sanitary. I hope they will upgrade the restrooms soon, as that would make the park perfect.

Overall, I highly recommend Royal Springs to anyone looking for a fun and relaxing getaway in Florida. It is a hidden gem that deserves more attention and...
