We had a very disappointing experience with Lodi Music. We made an appointment with the owner to take some photos at the shop for our son’s birthday. We were also planning to purchase some equipment while we were there as we’re a family of musicians and wanted to support a local small business and thank them for allowing us to use their space. At the time of our appointment, the shop had been closed up early for the day. The owner forgot about our scheduled appointment and when we called, he refused to come up and meet with us. Read moreAndrew and the crew at Lodi Music are super knowledgeable, always willing to chat, and are straight shooters, which isn't always the case at music shops. There's no sales BS like you get at a big retail shop and there's always something interesting in the shop. They've repaired a vintage amp for me, helped me modify my electric guitars, bought sold and traded guitars with me, and set up an acoustic guitar for me. I've never felt like I'm getting the short stick when dealing with this shop and love the willingness to help folks make music. Cannot recommend this store...

We weren't sure if it was something he would stick with. They offered to let him use it for the school year and said they would buy it back from us at the end of the year if it wasn't something we wanted to continue.
