The lady that called when you need shipping was polite on the phone. I was driving at the time she called I ask if she could call me in 10 minutes I would be home. She did and gave all my info. Didn't think to tell her to add insure onto my shipment and she didn't ask if I wanted it. They should ask if it something you want since they are doing the shipping more often. She said it would go out the next day if she could get her workers to get busy. Was very upset after opening the box with my glass oil lamps in the box was long but not very high and the biggest lamp was not wrapped very good and the handle was pointed down on the bottom of the box and of course it was broken. I sent her a photo and she said once they send it it's out of her hands. So I'm out my lamp I wanted nd the money I payed for it. If you need something shipped from them that is fragile. Make sure you instruct them on how to wrap it and pack it so it doesn't get broken and insure it. Will never get anything else from them. Not very good at teaching there workers on shipping things. If you give your opinion and not say anything bad about there shippers a note if they don'tlike your review expect them to give you a bad score for buyers and other companieswon'tlet you buy from them. Had no problems ever bidding on any Auction till I gave a review then all the sudden I'm flagged with a score of 18 and a new Auction Company I wanted to do some business with said I couldn't buy from them. Never heard of this but There are ways around it and I got the stuff I wanted but if they new how to pack they wouldn't have got my review which was only a heads up to make sure you insure...

I have been going to SS Auction for a couple of years now.l live in Luray va so it's about a 5 hour drive.lts worth every minute, l try to go to their biweekly sales or their catalog sales.l have never been disappointed. I am a designer and l have an antique store.l always find unusual things, things you can't find anywhere else. Being a designer l am always looking for things that can make a room. I can find things for clients from period peices to a good quality reproductions. If you don't know the difference , you don't have to worry they are very honest .They describe the pieces before they are sold. If you have a question about a peice just ask.They are always helpful. What l like about their biweekly sales there is something for everyone, in every price range. The owner Phil has an eye for picking the finest peices.
