We stayed at the Guyan Suite 2 with the game room garage. Staying here was a new experience for us as we usually stay in more secluded lodges, but it was fun and I enjoyed it. Being able to pull your machines inside is really awesome. We spent plenty of time shooting pool and playing ping pong and other pong type games. Definitely made use of the garage space to work on one of our atv’s, much cooler and nicer than doing it outside. The apartment upstairs is really nice as well but we honestly spent 90% of our time in the game room garage which probably comes as no surprise to anyone. All we did was sleep and shower upstairs, pretty comfortable and clean beds no complaints there, plenty of hot water even showering back to back to back. AC works excellent upstairs, the game room also has AC but it just can’t keep that huge room as cool, was still comfortable and much cooler than outside so can’t really complain considering the size of the room. The game room also has an extra 5th bedroom with one full sized bed and 2 additional full bathrooms that I don’t think are shown or mentioned on their website, so that’s pretty cool. The only down side really was that the TV in the game room is pretty old and the picture is really dark you can barely even see it. I’m sure they will repair or replace it soon because it really seems like they take good care of their rentals and their guests! It wasn’t a big deal as you are surrounded by other fun things to do, and for us we brought a projector anyway so we just used that, half the town will remember us as the ones playing Mario Cart and watching movies on the side of the building haha. Overall a great experience and would recommend to anyone with a decent group size! My pictures are from later in our stay so we had dirtied the place up...
Read moreI booked a stay from 5/22-5/26 on 5/22 I had a family emergency with my dad and was required to fly home immediately as my dad is 91 and I have MPOA for him. I immediately notified Savannah and told her I had a family emergency and a long email explaining I was MPOA for my dad and under the circumstances would i be able to get a partial refund I offered to pay for 1 night which is typically standard with hotels, after waiting for over a week for a response I was told that the owners were sticking to their policy of no refunds which I agreed to at time of booking not seeing the future with my dad falling ill 3 months after I booked my stay. So fair warning to anyone else that thinks this is a great family owned place it clearly is NOT! we can not plan for family emergencies and I only hope that no one else endures the stress of flying across country to get to family member and now being out $377 dollars which is a lot of money. Additionally the locals that recommended this place to me and know the family stated they will never recommend anyone else to this establishment and that this family owns other properties in town and this is a pure act of GREED. Beware not family or human friendly at all. Complete disgusting way to do business.
Edit* after several days trying to get the owners to listen to my situation and I am sure this review they did decide to refund all my money for my stay, while a appreciate that it was still the principal part of it and also the undue stress it caused at a time I was dealing with a...
Read moreWe had the good fortune to be the first to stay at the StarView cabin and we couldn't be happier! The cabin is a gorgeous, modern design with huge windows and a really intelligent floor plan. 1 king and 2 queen beds on the first floor with 2 full bathrooms and 3 twin (full size?) beds at the top of a curved staircase with the best views on the property! The kitchen was easy to work in and well stocked with pots, pans, dishes, silverware and many extra kitchen gadgets. The washer/dryer top notch, the couches in the main area very comfortable and the outside property perfectly designed. Starlink internet worked surprisingly well, the tile floor was comfy to walk on and, even with the tall ceilings in the common area, the acoustics were very good (no echo like I've had elsewhere). The wrap-around porch, BBQ and large tables and chairs were really nice. We didn't get a chance to use the firepit. As you might expect with a brand new cabin we ran into a few problems and that is where we were most impressed. Our texts were answered almost immediately and problems solved quickly by more than one person. Outside the cabin we enjoyed walking (on the west end of the property) to "The Farmstand" where you may be able to buy local eggs and meats (check before buying elsewhere) and the guys working there were friendly very informative even though we showed up at the end of their workday. Bonus... we had Maggie the dog and Mabel the cat almost the whole time we were there. If you like dogs and cats you'll...
