Dollar General — Local services in Loganville

I like Dollar General, I shop there all the time, however, this one is an abomination. It's filthy. The shelves are never stocked. Product is piled up in the isles. You can never find an employee to ring you up and when the self check out is working it is card only and you can't return anything purchased at the self checkout even when you discover the expiration date passed over a year ago which I have found several times at this store. Additionally, the price at the register often times is higher than the price on the shelf...like at least one item every single time. On a recent trip my $20 checkout was nearly $4 higher than the price on the shelf. On another trip every single item on a 6 item ticket was over charged at an average of 70cents per item. They give you attitude like it's your problem when you bring it up. The majority of the employees act as though you are a nuisance to them because you want to buy something there. You will see the same things in tons of comments on this store but for some reason the reviewer is still giving them 3 or 4 stars. It's too bad that the community puts up with this. As for me, I am done with this location. My money is going...

Pros- the employees are generally nice, the location is convenient, parking is easy. Cons- everything else. The place makes some West Baltimore corner stores look like a Wegman's. The shelves are perennially bare (even when the supply chain issues weren't going on), there's been a leak from the ceiling which hasn't been fixed since the place opened. To keep the wet floors covered, they just throw cardboard down. The front end looks like a bomb went off, with empty boxes, unshelved stock, trash piled up to the sides, behind, and sometimes in front of the registers. There's almost never an employee behind the counter, since I assume they are forced to stock the shelves too. A lot of this has to be on the hands of whoever owns/manages the place. Do yourself a favor and go a little further up the road to the Leaders...

They don't stock. They lie about their prices and then act like it's the machine's fault. I've heard countless customers complain about prices being incorrect, and I've had numerous times where prices were more expensive compared to what was labeled. Soda machines leak water everywhere. Can't use their bathroom without a key from the manager - who is never on the store floor. And the worst part: they sell expired food. This is not the first time I've went for a snack or last minute groceries just to go home and discover that it's WAY passed the expiration date.
