Eastgate Shopping Center — Local services in Lombard

ACE HARDWARE and the DRIVERS LICENSE FACILITY are the only businesses that I use in this strip mall and maybe 7 11. ACE HARDWARE is the best store in the whole-wide world! The minute you walk in and you look confused (or not) there is someone right there to ask you what you need. Nobody does that anymore. This store takes pride in their Customer Service. I would much rather go to THIS Ace Hardware and maybe pay a dollar or 2 an item more versus Home Depot/Menards or Loews where it may be cheaper but not as good and knowledgeable clerks. They truly do care that your project turns out right. I went in with a specific clasp that I wanted for my ferret cage and the guy couldn't picture what I was trying to describe, so he took me over to 1 department, realized that wasn't it, then another, then another. I'm thinking, "man, this guy is gonna be mad I'm turning down all his ideas." But no! He worked with me until we found something that would serve the purpose I needed it for. No attitude, no distaste in his mouth, he pleasureably found what I needed and we must have looked for half an hour. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND ACE HARDWARE ON MEYERS IN LOMBARD! THE DRIVERS LICENSE FACILITY has improved greatly over the past 5 years. No more long waits in lines, they move through them very quickly now. And the 7 11 on Meyers is strictly a 7 11. Nothing...

I mean, come on... It's the DMV so we all know it's going to be horrible but this one wasn't too bad... Upon arrival a very nice gentleman told me, and a few others to enter one of the doors. "No line no wait" he said...and we did, and then another guy of Indian decent came out and told us all to go back outside and made us all line up outside.. I could care less what anybody's race is. I just want people to know which one he was so you can be ready for the rude treatment.. He then proceeded to tell a elderly lady inside that was waiting for her daughter that she had to move to another seat further away! This guy sucks. This mall has never been anything fantastic in the past 20 years. The only thing it had going for it it had the DMV and it had a good Chinese restaurant. The Chinese restaurant is currently not good anymore the egg rolls are terrible the quality has gone downhill. The Only Thing Worth going there for is to get your driver's license renewed at the DMV and this DMV is pretty decent it's never overly crowded when I've been there however it's a DMV take your chance. The parking lot for the DMV is never been one overcrowded when I've gone there and it's not chaos like in Naperville where I feel like I'm going to be ran over every time I try to enter the street. The ace is a typical a store it's nice it's clean it's big it's decent prices...
