What an asset to the local neighborhood and the community at large! Anyone can shop, which makes this full service option in an otherwise kind of sparse part of town a huge plus. If you’re going into this grocery store expecting cheap products, you might be disappointed- the emphasis is on local, transparently labeled and sustainably-produced with high quality ingredients. Knowing this, prices will reflect those higher standards. That said, there are always some great sales both on produce (organic pears for 1.99!) and center store items (Annie’s Mac and Cheese 4/$5!), and the local, organic milk is cheaper by the gallon than any other brand on the shelves. The bulk section is great, too, as we can get fair trade coffee for $13 per pound and restock on anything from grains to herbs and spices. Plus, owners can get discounts on case orders - my family has already found some favorites we buy regularly that, with the case discount, are significantly cheaper per unit than even the Big Box stores. We are here 2-3 times per week and are already learning how to Shop the Co-Op in a way that makes sense for our family, because doing so makes me feel better about where my money is going and what I’m bringing...

Most reviews for this place that show five stars are from people who invested $200 to become a owner. They are not true reviews. This place makes Whole Foods look like a discount store. Prices are crazy HIGH. One small sweet roll in a cellophane package that look like it had been sitting for a couple of days is $4.99. No date on the package. I just shopped for the second time at PFC. Several employees were busy stocking shelves. My vegan family really likes the Lightlife Smart Bacon, and the selection of vegan cheeses and yogurt. There a wide selection of beverages, including soda, kombucha, may types of flavored and fizzy water, mocktails, beer, and wine - great summer refreshers!
