I still remember the first time I went to the Long Drive Inn — it was just me and Molly, my dog, who’s now 16. Later on, my dad started coming with me, and eventually, the grandkids joined in too. My dad passed away in 2023, and I suspect I’ll slow down on the trips now, but there’s no question in my mind: this is the best movie theater I’ve seen between South Dakota and Minnesota.
The movies are great, the food is even better, and the people — not just the staff but the moviegoers too — are incredibly friendly. There’s a lot of old-school charm here.    Read moreA wonderful place for nostalgia, great food and a fun time! For the price of a single ticket at a regular theatre, you get two movies back to back at the outdoor drive in theatre. Their concessions stand is more than your run of the mill snack bar, as they have not only tons of options for candy, snacks & drinks, but hot food and specialty items as well. Tuning in to their Movie Radio station 88.5 makes the experience much more immersive as you can have the volume as low or high as you wish, or you can use the original window speakers if you prefer the authentic retro feel. The screen is a bit on the dim side, but the whole experience made up for that minor shortcoming. They also have theme weekends for all ages. For the price, you can't go wrong with a night at the...

They could not keep up, the line was all backed up parents could not tend to any of their own kids at all some parents walked away allowing their kids to cuss and throw things at other ppls cars. The staff did nothing to stop this at all. The concession stand line was so long that you could not watch the movie as ppl where blocking your view. I've only been their a hand full of times but this was the worst and I don't feel the need to go back...
