Lorain Skate World — Local services in Lorain

Had a nice time with the family. We went on a Wednesday for family skate. We brought our own rollerblades so I can't say how their roller skates are. It's a nice big open area to skate though and it's good for all ages. They have those little push things on wheels ( basically a mini walker on Wheels but it's plastic) for the younger ones if they need help. Lockers are there as well. Bench seating is provided all around the perimeter so there's plenty of seating. There's also around 10 tables or so by the concession stands. At least a dozen different food options to choose from along with different candies, sweet treats, and a variety of drinks. We really love the root beer floats, they were a good size too. The prices are very affordable. Some food items may run out so if you want something in particular get it earlier so you know you can have it. The DJ did a really nice job as well, you can request songs to play and he does classics as well that you can dance to and a couple different competitions that my kids really enjoyed. I love coming here I can't say the quality of the rentals because I take my own skates. The skate floor Is clean and super smooth. I've been to the classes and plan to continue going. the instructors are helpful and really nice. It's mostly kids but a few adult including myself. I prefer to go to Wednesdays open skate it's full but not to bad. Saturdays are way to packed I went one time never again. You can bring protective gear. They just started doing adult night once a month I hope they make it more consistent. they should definitely make a adult newbie night (like in Columbus Ohio) because it is kinda intimidating when people are still learning (including myself) and then they're surrounded by so many good skaters. When going to regular open skate there’re a lot of kids falling around you and they don't pay attention to they're surroundings so they crash into you. I’ve seen it happened a few times. I recommend that you get a little bit of experience under your belt for open skate. So definitely go to the classes if your just starting to learn how to skate even if...

I was there with my friend and my boyfriend was coming. So when he got there he couldn’t come in even if he wasn’t skating. So I asked the lady up front if I could go outside to see him and she said if I go outside I wasn’t allowed to coming back in and I was thinking in my head with if there’s smokers there not allowed to come back and. And the lady up front was still letting people come in.And when people were leaving people were still coming in. Then she told me I have to wear roller skates or I had to leave so after she told me that I asked to see the manager and he told me the same thing and I told him I have bad knees and I’m just here with friends .
