My boyfriend currently goes to school here. His dorm has mold, his shared bathroom is disgusting, falling apart and his sink sprays water everywhere, there are rats in the walls and ceilings, the hallways always smell like weed and constantly have other students yelling and banging on random doors and staff do absolutely nothing about this. Upon moving into his dorm the bed was broken and sounds like it’s going to fall apart every time u sit on it....took this info to staff and they said it wasn’t their problem and they could do nothing about it. For $30,000 a year why the hell is this college so trashy and why is there a lack of staff doing their jobs. I’m assuming all that money goes to the giant tour buses for their sports teams. Don’t waste your money here. Go to ANY community or tech college and get the SAME 2 year degree. If you need a place to stay and the fact that they have a dorm is what pushes you to this college, think again. The room and board is almost $11,000 a year; you can more than rent an apartment for that. Please save your money and time and stay away from...
Read moreFor a school who's tuition costs over $30,000 dollars to attend, it is a complete waste of money. From many staff members being constantly disorganized and numerous accounts of problems, this school is not all the stress that comes with it. They claim to have many advantages that other schools do not have access to which is completely false and misleading. At the beginning of the year when I started, I was excited to go to this school. Once the year actually began, more unnecessary problems became present. I've been dealing with mold on the ceiling in a dorm room, constant obstacles in order to just take specific classes that I need in order to transfer, and constant mistakes on their part. Not to mention that getting a loan after one has been drawn back is nearly impossible. I wish that I would have taken classes at Wake Tech rather than at this school. It's a waste of money, time, and well-being. By all means though, if you love to have numerous problems and pay an obscene amount for them, especially for a 2 year...
Read moreA relative of mine went here twice. It just came out that the school has been seeing signs of poor mental health both times he attended and instead of getting him some help decided to play along with the distorted reality he believed in. If you are recieving multiple reports from teachers, a coach and other students and are SO concerned the student in question might have a mental breakdown WHY PRETEND EVERYTHING IS OK and only take action when the family is asking for assistance in getting them treatment? And by action I mean have them arrested when there was an option to call in behavioral health services...
