Very uncomfortable experience. My husband and I walked in and the man was sitting outside in a rocking chair. As soon as we started browsing, he came inside, sat in a chair, and just stared at us. No hello, no welcome, just sitting there watching.
When we moved to the other side of the store, he actually picked up his chair, followed us, and sat down again to continue staring. At that point it felt less like shopping and more like being accused of stealing. The energy was so off-putting we left immediately, even though I had planned to buy a few pieces.
Maybe instead of following customers around in silence, try being a little friendlier. There’s a reason we were the only ones in the store...
