Public Storage — Local services in Louisville

DO NOT GO HERE!!!! This place is a joke! When the storage units were owned by blue lick self storage it was excellent. Public Storage does not care about their tenants at all. I have had to call them a few times to get my gate code changed because I was afraid someone was getting into my unit. Come to find out this person was changing the locks on the unit without my knowledge so I could not even get into my own unit. I tried to fill out a paper to have them cut the lock and the person at the front desk had no idea how to do that or if they had any forms to do so. When I contacted the property manager she was extremely rude and kept telling me that I needed to chill out its not a big deal! (Keep in mind all of my belongings including irreplaceable items that my grandparents left me after they passed were stolen)Customer service skills from employees is horrible! She also proceeded to tell me that if someone was following another tenant onto the property and through the gate that my things being stolen was my fault!!! What is the point of a gate code if anyone can come in? After talking with her i tried to contact the district manager who still has not returned my calls. (It has been 4 days) They told the police after me making a report that their cameras do not always work even though they advertise for 24 hour surveillance over the whole property. It even gets better. I pay a monthly set price for insurance on my unit. When my things went missing the property manager told me that I do not have insurance even though i had printed out the last months statement with the insurance and coverage on it. After getting off the phone with her I logged back onto my account online and my insurance was cancelled!!!! I’ll start by saying I’m not a disgruntled Karen. I know people like to get on here and complain, but my review is factually based on the terribly ran business and management. First, we started at the Beulah church facility but needed a bigger unit so we moved to the blue lick facility. Since we have been there, we have rarely been able to get into our unit. The hours listed online are not accurate, you can’t get into your unit during those hours. Nobody is ever in the office, you just have to guess and hope somebody is there. Management is rude, she literally cut me off and yelled when I was in the middle of explaining our frustration and they never offer a solution as far as accessing our unit. The entry codes gate has been broken for over a week now and you can’t get in unless somebody is there, which is never. Or for like 2 hours a day and those hours are not made known. Hands down, the WORST business management I’ve ever dealt with, specifically, my boyfriend and I spoke with Sandy. It has been a complete joke and I’d highly recommend paying a little bit more elsewhere, because the little bit of money you save is not worth the inconvenience or rudeness you have to deal with when going through Public Storage. I have 3 units in your storage facility and I'm disgusted. I chose this location because you advertise that your indoor units are climate controlled however I have been there multiple times and tho it reads its 57° it was not 57° it was so cold in there my fingers were numb I opened my unit door and noticed immediately that the leather on my couch was destroyed and cracked. A $3000.00 couch!!!! The security gate has been broken several months and many peoples locks have been cut off and they never even contacted the renters they replaced the doors and when they are asked about it they tell them they updated the unit. I don't know about anyone else but I work hard for my money to buy the things I have in storage and also to pay for my storage. DO NOT USE THIS BUISNESS, YOUR BELONGINGS ARE NOT SAFE.
