So my 5-year-old daughter had a friend's birthday party here and I had never heard of it but it was really cool. They painted on a canvas that they partially help draw and partially was already drawn for them and did some scratch art and some other things for the first hour then they did cake (brought to party) they have a little kind of screened-in type of side room that's got a little bit of a play area as well as tables for other art stuff and I didn't see the downstairs that much there is an entrance in the back that has a parking lot that we went into and the kids had a great time. It was a really nice idea for a party Is it cool studio and they offer other classes and art for all ages so definitely check it out if you're into art of any kind and if you are artistic or like me not but like to do it anyway definitely recommend checking it out . They also have a rooster on the property who is very cute and very sociable and his own way I don't recommend necessarily petting him cuz I'm not sure exactly what his role is but he walks around and it's just neat to see him. Thank you Engage Art Studio It was a good time for me and my daughter and...
Read moreHad my friend's bachelorette party this past weekend, and we started at Engage for painting wine glasses - we couldn't have asked for a better kick-off. Melissa explained that the wine glasses take about 90 minutes, as opposed to the 3ish hours for a canvas painting, but we still got the full 3 hours of studio time. Melissa has an awesome personality as hostess, and was very accommodating (let us bring in food and drinks and get ready for the rest of the night, including face paintings and cutting up a dress): she kept us to a loose time frame so we had time to do our actual wine glass activity, offered help to anyone who needed it, and gave us very clear instructions; and she let us pet Rembrandt the rooster, who was a sweetheart. Everyone had so much fun, AND the wine glasses turned out great. Thank you so much, I will definitely be looking for an excuse to...
Read moreJust passing through the area for an impromptu road trip and had to stop here because the building looked so historical and interesting from the outside— was greeted by Nancy, absolute doll thank you for the water— and spent a good hour at the least perusing this wonderful gallery/store/art center, there are about 60+ shops featuring local artisans, left with a little of everyone’s work, everything was well-priced and affordable which is hard to find with artisan shops now. Thank you Gabrielle for answering my questions about the history of this building, it used to be an inn and pub and was separated into the fine dining area for those with a higher budget and local fare in the lower level. Wealthier visitors would then ski at Spring Mountain nearby. Worth stopping by if you’re in the area,...
