The doctors were nice and knowledgeable. However, on a consistent basis, we were unable to get in to see the doctor when sick. I have had numerous doctors over the years, and they have all been able to fit a sick patient in on the day that they called. Not this practice. As an example, our son had a serious skin infection and we took him to the ER. We were told to follow up with our primary doctor within the next day or two to ensure it was healing properly and did not worsen. We could not get an appointment and had to take him back to the ER two more times; we incurred an additional $200 in ER fees as a result. Luckily, we got reimbursed by my husband's company. On another occasion, my husband needed an inhaler and could not get an appointment. We complained to the receptionist and she was not apologetic in the least. I understand my husband got upset and yelled, but I called back, apologized, and expressed our concerns and she continued to argue with me. We switched providers that day. We called another doctor, and within a single phone call, they got him an appointment that day. Schwenksville had said they would check and call back; they never did; then said they would talk to the doctor but couldn't guarantee he could see him and would have to call back. At that point, with the recurring theme, we were pretty much done. Hands down the most unorganized and unsympathetic practice we have...
Read moreI have been a patient of Keisers for many years, never really had an issue until recently. I am also in the healthcare field and know what I need and don't need as far as medications. I have bad scoliosis and my sciatica pain flares up every once in awhile. I recently had a flare up to where I couldn't stand or walk AT ALL. The only meds that actually help would be a steroid and works wonders for me. I called, asked if I could get a refill because I was bed bound, remind you I called 130pm on a Tuesday, and didn't hear anything back. I called Wednesday back to see what was going on, and the receptionist said he left a note staying "absolutely NOT". Right then and there I decided to go elsewhere. THANK GOD I have a spine dr because he filled my med up for me with no questions asked, but I thought Keiser was extremely rude and unprofessional. He could've called me or even the nurse to tell me, instead I was in excruciating pain in bed wondering if I was going to get it filled. That office is going down hill and thank god I've decided to find a new PCP who actually listens and knows when I need things. I don't suggest anybody to go here....
Read moreThis review is not directed at the actual Doctors practicing at this location but rather the ability to contact or speak with ANYBODY in this office. I highly value having Dr. Kaiser as my PCP, and respect his opinion and his genuine and sincere interaction with me over the years. It has gotten IMPOSSIBLE to talk to anybody in the office when you call. You must leave a message…maybe they’ll call back, maybe they won’t. So far, at least for the past two weeks, it’s been a “maybe they won’t”. I had a back. Lipid panel and a few pre-surgery tests done and was told by Dr. Kaiser that usually the results would be back the next day and that protocol would be that I would be contacted then, but this office was changing its affiliation over to Penn Medicine and that it would probably be a few days. Well we are now at over two weeks and after many calls and messages left, I have no results or call backs. It is truly IMPOSSIBLE to speak to anyone there! How would you get an appointment? It’s frustrating...
