I live in Green River Wy and broke down near Lyman, I have friends that live in the area that helped me get my vehicle to the mechanic. I am not ignorant to repairs and identified myself it was most likely a water pump, which they came to the same conclusion. They quoted me $240 up front and 1 day, which was inline with what I would expect, water pumps were listed at $119 and a good friend that works for a Chevrolet dealer from another state said it was 1.8 hours in labor. Anyway, it took them a week to get to it and after repairs they told me over the phone it was $460. When I questioned it being different than the quote they said the water pump was really expensive. I went in to pick it up and they had lowered the price to $440 and that it included a $50 serpentine belt which I was fine with. But they still listed the water pump at $210. I stated again that I had looked at a Chevrolet dealer and they quoted me $119 retail. His reply, "are you sure they looked up the right one, this one is really big"
To speak to me like I was stupid enough to think bigger meant more expensive is ridiculous.
They were condescending, overpriced and slow. I would rather pay extra for a tow truck to get someone polite and that I trusted. It is surprising that someone can stay in business in a small town while behaving this way. They have lost a future customer and I will share my experience with everyone I know that lives in the Bridger...
Read moreI have heard in the past not to work with these guys, but was in desperate need for a tire. I went to Bradshaw’s (who didn’t have what I needed) and they called here and asked them to check, then sent me on my way. I got here, and stood there waiting a good 15 minutes while the person in charge was BS-ing with some guys. Finally, he asks what he can do for me, I told him I’m the one Bradshaw’s called for a tire, and he said he didn’t have one. So I wasted 15 min with a bad leak in my tire just so he can tell me he doesn’t have what I need. He then proceeded to quote me prices for a new tire he can order (the cheapest being $90, a good $15 more expensive than Bradshaw’s or Covolos for the same brand of tire). I told him I can’t do that price, so he said to call back the next day and he will see what he can do. I will not be calling back, I already know he’s going to give me the tire for it’s real price, then overcharge me to put it on and balance it. $15 is a big deal when you’re budgeting everything you do. Don’t go here unless you have plenty of time and are willing to pay more...
Read moreAmazing owner!!! You don't find giving and caring people like this very often but I was fortunate enough to have Glade walk into my life at a very tough time. Driving west on I-80 in my motorhome, I lost my large patio awning some 20 miles from Lyman. I needed special help; I was stranded as moving my coach meant the extension arms would beat the side of my loved RV to shreds. I didn't need a tow - I needed a tall ladder and a hacksaw. Made a call to AAA and got 2 numbers; the first politely said they don't carry ladder but the second was answered by Glade who rescued me. Not only did he extend his amazing service and help, I made a new friend and will stop by next time I'm on I-80 to say hello. What an asset and friend to all in Lyman! 10 stars,...
