Extra Space Storage — Local services in Lyman

The worse experience ever! The owner is not a nice person. We moved out our unit in April and there was confusion on the balance. They charged me for April, May and a lien fee even after I told the lady we moved out in April and haven’t had access since. She was not willing to help us a remove the May fee. She pretty much said the amount stays the same. Unbelievable! I told her I want to pay the past due for April and be done with this and she was not willing to help! I will NEVER rent here again and I will advise anyone who thinks about this location to NEVER rent a unit here! Even tho you are month to month, this lady make you feel like you are in a year contract. What’s month to month if you can’t get out?! I will go the BBB on this company and complain to their corporate office about this experience. People DO NOT RENT HERE!!! The “General Manager, Owner” who ever she is was extremely RUDE. She made 100 Accusations and wouldn’t even help us out. What was the point of her calling me??! The employee lady was much more nice and understanding that this lady. She should be fired. I am not done complaining about this horrible experience. How can you charge someone a whole month of rent when there was nothing in the unit, we moved out last month, and tried to turn in keys and pay for the month of April. How can you do that?!!! Patrick, the manager was outstanding and very polite. He was so helpful in explaining how everything works when renting storage units, from the different types available to how & when you can access your unit and since this was my first time to ever rent a unit, I literally knew nothing at all about it. In the end, it turned out his location did not have the size or type of unit available for when I needed it, but Patrick was superb. He went above & beyond to pass my # and information in regards to the unit I was looking for, along to the manager at another facility that was closer and gave me all the information I needed about that Extra Space Storage Facility as well. Just leased 2 of the larger units at this Duncan location and Nick Anderson was very pleasant and helpful. However, when I came back during the week to actually place my classic vehicle in the unit, we were rudely approached by Genie Bennett "The General Manager". She made crazy accusations against us and then proceeded to tell us that we only had 30 minutes to get the vehicle inside the unit or "There will be legal actions". She continued this for approximately 5 more minutes. (Now we only have 25 minutes left...lol) (As if I was just going to roll my vehicle off and shove it into the unit...DUH) Now I just leased nearly $500 worth of storage space from you (and was considering getting another unit) and WAS going to store there for a few months.
