Reynolds' Boats — Local services in Lyme

I typically do not leave reviews however when purchasing a boat its a big investment. From the purchase perspective: I have had the opportunity to purchase a new Ranger from Reynolds and there is no Ranger dealer that I would trust with my purchase than Reynolds. By far they have you feeling comfortable, no sales pressure, no tactics to tricking you into a boat. i also said I was looking at another dealer and the first words out of Bryan's mouth was; "they are a very good dealer with a solid reputation" never once was there any bad mouthing the competition. I did give him the opportunity to share the differences between the two and he professionally explained. I cant say the other dealer shared the same sediment. Which turned me off as a buyer

From the Service Prospective: I had a small service issue and called Reynolds (After hours) I received my part the next day along with a time to call them and walk me through how to install the part. It was flawless, pain free and most of all they worked around my schedule.

Over all experiance: I would give Reynolds my highest recommendation for a few reasons, it took me a some time to make my purchase, they did not rush me or make me feel any different as a buyer. We were treated with respect and we were meticulously walked through EVERY step of the process, nothing over looked. We also were not over sold, we explained what we wanted and Bryan shared different options that worked and fit into our budget. Purchasing a boat is no easy task and its an investment, however, buy with confidence from Reynolds their whole team is top notch and you will truly feel part of their family. I cannot write or say enough good things about Reynolds Boats in Lyme CT. I have been a customer for over 24 years and purchased a Skeeter Aluminum Bass Boat ( ZX17) 23 years ago.

Whenever I have needed service no matter how simple or complex they have always stepped right up and taken care of my issues.

This year to start my tournament fishing season, I had a funky oil leak and a motor that was running very rough. Ross Moxon and his brother Cayce were fantastic at diagnosing my issues, keeping me informed of their progress and each suggestion they made to fix the issue was spot on. My boat is running like its brand new, the oil leaks have vanished and my motor sounds and runs great.

They also understand, and being fisherman themselves, how important it is to fix my issues quickly and do everything they can to get me back on the water as soon as possible. They take pride in their work and do everything they can to fix my issues fast, at a reasonable cost and with a smile and a Thank you as I leave their dealership.

If you are considering purchasing a new boat or your current boat has or needs service, I recommend them with the upmost confidence and once you experience working with them will feel the same way I have for the last 24 years.

The worse service I ever had on my boat or anything for that matter. Been taking the boat here for 4 years . Left the boat there for a month.This year was a total disaster with disrespect for my boat (left a mess -ex. Cigarette butt,parts)and the customer(me). Ignition wire disconnected.trailer wiring not fixed correctly.Wrote a letter to the ownership. No response. Since then I had work rechecked by another mechanic. Wrong oil was put into engine. Lower gear oil was not changed all the way. . Black oil with metal filings still caught in the plug and not cleaned. Only one fuel filter was replaced.Air filter was not changed. protective boots to positive connections were not put back on. They ran a new line from the trolling motor back to the batteries hopefully that was correctly installed.I will have it checked as well. Service and workmanship are subpar .I hesitated to put a review out there, but get the feeling they don't care. BEWARE8/15/2023 in addidion,cowl bolts were missing...
