Back In Time Stove Shop LLC — Local services in Lynchburg

The store is in an old grain Mill and has a nice rustic atmosphere. There were some women who worked there who were very kind and friendly. Although the man who I'm assuming is the owner chain smokes in the store while customers are there. Hard to get anything planned because the only one who knows the schedule is the man who owns the shop, installs the stoves, and does the repairs and sweeping. I'm not sure why he has any other employees because it seems they constantly have to call him when he's out on jobs.

We came in one day looking for a specific stove as we had done our research on affordability and efficiency. They didn't have the stove we we're looking for even though it was listed on their website as a brand they sold. No big deal they ordered it for us, we also requested an old stove be removed. We told him it was a large heavy stove and gave him rough dimensions and the weight. They get here and worked harder not smarter getting the new stove in and scratched it up in the process, there was a can of stove spray paint inside the stove but it's not something we feel comfortable doing. They also damaged our door frame. We offered a nice pair of metal auto ramps to help them get the stove in and they refused it. When they took the old stove out we slid the ramps in to prevent any further damage to our door frame and taking the much larger heavier stove out was easier. Despite us giving the weight and rough dimensions of the old stove when we ordered it he said he should have charged us extra to remove it. Back In Time Stove Shop......I initially gave a good review BUT that was before I realized that I have paid for 3 service calls....stove is still not working correctly AND after paying to have the new vacuum switch installed I found that the technician did NOT hook it up but rather bypassed it. This is an essential safety system! My stove is still not working right and they put me in danger by bypassing the system. I paid 3 service calls for this???? Don't waste your time here!
