Since I can't write 2 reviews, I'm going to edit this one. I don't think I have had a good encounter with Char since, but I want to change my ratings, because Nugents Courner actually donated to my daughter’s gofund me. Which I so appreciate. Thank you ❤️

I came back into town from Seattle children's hospital, getting in this morning at 2 AM dropping off my youngest because she has school on Monday. My oldest is undergoing chemotherapy for Ewings Sarcoma Cancer in Seattle. I am soooo spread thin today because it's just been an extremely overwhelming day. I am running on hardly any sleep. An need to drive back down to Seattle after my husband gets home for working the weekend. I came in and checked out with Char at 12:05 PM. As she was ringing up the items, I pulled out my card and told her before even sliding my card that I was going to be paying via EBT. She didn't say anything so I continued with my card. When she was done, she finished the transaction and seemed to get irritated for some reason. I asked her if I needed to slide my card again. I caught on that she obviously didn't hear me say I was paying with EBT, so she charged me for bags, I'm assuming. Mind you, not EVERYONE knows you arnt charged for bags when paying for EBT, but because I knew that, that is why I said in the beginning, I was paying with EBT. She told me in a very rude and clearly irrited at me that..."Had i actually known you were paying with EBT....." she didn't even tell me the reason she was frustrated. I'm assuming it was because of the bag charged. I began to tell her I did tell her that, she very very rudely interrupted me, spoke loudly before i couldeven finish what i was saying, "Have a good day!" So I just walked out. Trying to process what just happened as I went to my car, the customer who was behind me, came up to me outside and told me, "That was very very harsh of Char to speak to you like that" I responded that I was unsure if I just read that wrong. An he told me that no, it wasn't nice and very harsh of her to speak to me like that. I'm already dealing with so much. One person's small act of kindness can make someone's day. Even at a grocery store. What happened just a bit ago was embarrassing, and really was unessasary. I went in to speak to another employee and was told management wasn't there. So I'm doing it on here instead. I hope management can speak with Char and explain how she shouldn't speak to someone like that. Especially if shes working the register and is the last takeaway from shopping at the store. Here is the information from today,

Would get 5 starts since i do love this store despite being a tad more pricey than going in town and everyone working there is great expect for one person. Not sure her name, but she's older, wears glasses, and has her hair in a bun, she is just not pleasant. Not sure if I ever did her wrong before (guarantee that I didnt and have respect for people) but she's just flat out rude to me. Every. Time. To the point where I wish I could be helped by anyone else but her. Not sure if anyone else has the same experience with that particular person (honestly seems targeted towards me as I literally see her being kinder to every other person in line up until im helped by her). I normally do not feel compelled to post negative reviews unless absolutely necessary so im a bit fed up. Hope you can at least give me the same respect and service you give everyone else going forward. There's no need to be rude to me. And I hope management has a word with her. It's not...

It's nice what the new owners have done to the place, and it was a bummer when Dodsons IGA closed. The area needs a store like the one we have there now. That being said the prices are crazy expensive there! I know that prices on everything everywhere are way up lately, but come on! There are a lot of extremely low income residents in the area who have to do most of their shopping there and it makes it extremely difficult to make it day to day. I really can't see the cost for all the logistics at that store, can be so much higher than the stores in more populated area, that the prices would need to be as high as they are. I of course know nothing of the cost of running a store and all that goes with running a successful one. I'm sure I'm probably wrong about it. It's just that seeing the high cost for everything is then just a couple years it's all very anxiety...
