Xtreme Bean Espresso — Restaurant in Lynden

Came into the drive through as a first-timer expecting to come away with a strong and subtly sweet iced latte to start the morning off but actually ended up with some strange concoction that tasted like three-day old chilled Folgers with tons and tons of milk over it. Was disappointed to see they don't pour you hot shots for iced drinks, which I thought was slightly deceptive and also to see they only offer 16oz or bigger for iced drinks, which also seems strange. I understand using batched chilled coffee may seem like a useful thing for busy mornings when you just want to get through the line of cars in the parking lot, but it really just shows customers or first-timers that you value quantity and not quality in your product. No body wants to pay for a $6 latte and tip when it's just not a latte. On the plus side, the women working the drive through window were super kind and bubbly, which is always a plus in the mornings. The drinks we ordered were pretty good but the service was horrible. We ordered a blended latte amongst other things and asked for oat milk (my wife can’t drink regular), then after hearing they used powder, asked if the drink had milk. It did and we asked for something else. The eye rolls from the woman in glasses were uncalled for. We ordered another drink instead that cost less than the one with milk. We were not offered the money back so I asked for it, again more eye rolling and attitude. I shouldn’t have had to ask in the first place nor should I have had to ask about the milk…that’s an allergic reaction waiting to happen. WORST breakfast croissant ever. Wasn't even a croissant, some hard round thing. I went here since it was a cafe thinking they actually cooked food not microwave or easy bake oven. Absolute crap. Ordered an egg, bacon and cheese croissant in the drive through. $8 with tip. Drove off and could not even bite through it, so over cooked, rock hard, threw the bottom away to try to salvage it but nope. Wasted time and $$. Won't be returning.
