Graceful Alterations — Local services in Lyons Township

This is a slightly different review than Grace's others, but I feel it's important as a reflection of her attention to detail and quality. I asked her to sew some patches onto t-shirts, the patches being thick backed, complex in design and perimeter, and my design and end appearance requests being very precise and specific. Grace worked with my pieces for a few days, trying to figure out how to best perform the application per my instructions. After two days, she called and let me know she was not confident she could perform the task to the level of specificity and quality which, in her words, she was "not happy with and therefore know you wouldn't be either." She conceded the task back to me, unfinished but without any cost to me, because she didn't want to deliver a product she was not personally proud to present. I find this extremely admirable and personally aspirational. When and if I have fine alteration requirements of my own, or if I am asked for a recommendation for one, I will lead with Graceful Alterations because of this experience. Grace is everything and more. I was looking for a seamstress to do alterations on my wedding dress. It is always scary putting trust into someone for such a big moment. However, Grace was so kind, professional, and knowledgeable. She did very professional and quick work, and made me feel so comfortable the entire time. She did such a great job on my wedding dress alterations that I bought a reception dress last minute, and I was lucky enough to have it altered by her as well. I was so nervous the 2nd dress would not be able to be altered because it had an insane amount of pearls on it. However, Grace knew exactly what to do and you never would have guessed the dress was not its original size. She is amazing! I cannot say enough good things...

Grace was an absolute life saver after experiencing a catastrophe that could have resulted in a very sad daughter on her wedding day!
