Don’t waste your time!!! I called this office almost everyday for a month straight never got a call back to explain when I’d get a determination letter or just an agent to talk to about any information. I had to call every other office in Georgia and finally got ahold of the office in Columbus ( the only office who answered their phone) but all they told me was there was nothing they could do because my paperwork was at the macon office so I would have to wait until they processed me. After that I kept calling them till they told me that I was scheduled to be processed the following week. So I decided to wait till Monday to call the Macon/Columbus office again and was told the same thing. Then I waited till Wednesday that week for a call back and then I called the COLUMBUS office who to told me I missed the one call on Monday and was denied benefits. These people do not care about what your going through or how the pandemic has affected people they delayed my application and put me in risk of eviction and going days without eating just to call me ONE TIME to deny me my benefits even after my...

I had the blessing of having Mrs. Booker assist me today in my efforts in achieving assistance with Unemployment. I have never applied for it and after several failed attempts late last week I came over to the Macon office and God led me to Mrs. Booker. She was not only extremely knowledgeable, but also productive and did so with patience and concern for the right outcome that would help me solve this unexpected puzzle. I cannot speak for anyone else who may have had or is going through the same struggle, but I can testify if nothing else I at least met one special person on my journey to repair what was in need of repair. I have no idea what the point of this place is. They have no youth employment initiatives whatsoever and were unable to provide my 16 year old with a work permit. They told me to obtain one from the school my child attends, however, he does not attend public school. When I told them that, they said, "Oh well, he doesn't need one then."
