Visited this store and initially thought it was a vegan restaurant/fresh juice spot combined with a book store when we walked in it was much more and the food was not worth the price 60 dollars for two plates and 2 coconut water. Out of no where there was a cat I hope it wasn’t a stray since it was on the counter and wondering about throughout the place…. Then the most disturbing thing happened the cat scratched my 1 year old daughter in her face and she didn’t even touch the cat they apologized but didn’t even offer us anything to clean the scratch and I was worried that I took too long to clean it to prevent infection not knowing the history of the cat. I was on the road and looking for a vegan meal. Google maps suggested Homeland Village, so I decided to try it out. I'm really happy that I did! I was confused at first because the front of the store is filled with books and gifts and it didn't seem like a restaurant, but the worker at the counter showed me to a side room where the owner was preparing some of the best vegan food I've had in a long time.
