We always find lovely people in Madison, and Cindy Goley at Goleyâs Orchard exemplifies them all.
Her son, Kyle, has been a reader and supporter of The Coffman Review for a while. But it was only recently that I learned his family had an orchard in Madison. So of course we had to stop by!
Located up âon the hillâ, the orchard is over 100 years old. Cindy told me the amazing story of how it came to be, from a land grant to a sawmill to the orchard. Today her sons are still active in the Madison community and she was clearly proud of them.
In addition to apples and cider there was a room full of gifts and treasures. From signs, candles, quilts, and purses to pillows, blankets, curtains, and flowersâ my wife went a little crazy. đ
We left with cider and Christmas presents for everyone in my family. đ
