Jefferson County Fairgrounds — Local services in Madison

The fair grounds needs a lot of TLC. I've watched my entire life as it's stayed the same or got worse. I look at Scott county with new buildings and great grandstand events. Jefferson County charges for parking, Scott county doesn't. I'm not sure what your paying for. If it's wet you still get stuck,in the free cinders. And walking in sandals in nearly impossible in cinders. Scott county is paved in the midway. I see this event as something that will not continue forever. And the food from local groups was terrible. My step daughter trains her dog to show during the 4-H fair every year and she loves it! This will be her third year and is counting down the days for classes to start back up. Her 4-H leader asked me to become an official leader this year as well. If you have kids, this program is amazing for them to make friends and to become responsible, contributing members of society.
