Had dinner reservations this past Saturday for 4 people. The restaurant is really exquisite. It was very tasteful and well executed as far as layout and design.

We were seated almost immediately in the back dining room. Upon seating we soon realized the noise level was extremely loud. Something I am sure can be addressed. We were greeted at the table by a young high school server.He was pleasant but as the night went on you could gather he was poorly trained and overwhelmed.

My partner and I ordered two Queen filets. Mine butterflied and very well done. I explained my order repeatedly as I understand most chefs do not like to cook steaks well done. My partner ordered a Queen filet as well cooked medium. We also ordered two loaded potatoes with bacon, sour cream, cheese and chives on the side. Our friends ordered the tuna and sea bass. Our meal also had two salads. The salads arrived and were fine. The meals are where the unpleasant evening began…. My steak arrived and it was NOT butterflied or well done. My partner’s steak arrived as a New York strip. He told the server and he returned to the kitchen. A man arrived at the table to ask why the NY strip was being returned, He was dressed very oddly, not quite sure if he was a chef or some type of manager, certainly not professional. He stated the new steak would arrive momentarily which it did….cooked rare. My steak was returned to be cooked correctly and it returned about the same. Although it was attempted to be well is was mushy and tasteless. The loaded potatoes were an embarrassment. Low quality cheese, greasy fatty uncooked bacon pieces and the potato looked like it was dipped in butter It was undercooked and hard. The green beans were al dente and greasy as well. Our friends were not wowed with their meal especially the dry tasteless rice and the same greasy green beans. Wished I had photographed the food just not my style.

To sum up the dining experience I can equate it to attending a wedding at an amazing venue and being served low quality mass produced food. Just to feed the crowd. There was absolutely zero LOVE to the food. If they could put the same effort into the food as they did with the building they might have a fighting chance, Four people with a $500 plus check with my meal taken off as I refused to eat it.Spend your hard earned money elsewhere. A Warm, Family-Style Experience at Madison Prime Steak House

We had an absolutely incredible experience at the new Madison Prime Steak House. Despite arriving close to closing time and in our relaxed attire from a long day of traveling back from Hawai , we were welcomed with open arms by the owner, Francesco, who couldn’t have been more friendly or inviting. His hospitality immediately made us feel at home, and it was clear how passionate he is about creating a warm, family-oriented atmosphere. He even introduced us to his hardworking son, which made the evening feel even more personal and special.

The food was outstanding from start to finish. We started with the crab cakes and lobster bisque. The crab cakes were full of flavor and beautifully prepared, and the bisque was unlike any we’ve had—broth-based instead of creamy, with deep, layered flavors that tasted like they had been simmering for hours.

For our main course, we had two fillets—one king cut and one queen cut—and they were some of the best steaks we’ve had in a long time, especially in this area. Cooked to absolute perfection. The green beans on the side were also excellent—fresh, crisp, and seasoned just right.

Madison Prime is a true gem in our town. Between the high-quality food, warm service, and inviting atmosphere, Francesco and his team have created something really special. We’ll definitely be back for...
