I have a 2022 Jeep Gladiator. The aluminum tailgate got dented. It was unsightly but not extensive or structurally compromised. I brought it to a well-known body shop in Westbrook for a quote. They said because it was aluminum, they would need to replace the entire tailgate and quoted me quite a high price. I brought it to Shoreline Collision & Restoration for a second opinion. Bill and AnnaMarie were very friendly and got me right in to look at it. Right away they said they could fix the damage on the existing tailgate and quoted me over $1000.00 less than the Westbrook shop. The experience was first class from start to finish. It started with the estimate 2 days after my call. Bill was punctual, courteous, professional - but most of all a good person. I drove in for my appointment at 7:30 AM. He greeted me with a handshake and a smile. He provided me with a detailed estimate with several options depending on my choice of aftermarket parts. He pointed out the pros and cons of each option. I told him my choice and then we set up an appointment. He told me that if I dropped it off in the morning, it would be ready the same day. Guess what? I dropped it off and was called to pick it up before closing. When I arrived to pick it up, there were no surprises. I was told my rear passenger side door and rocker panel would be replaced and painted due to a dent from being backed into. After the job was done I noticed a very minor dent in the door and drips from the clear coat being added too heavily. After I voiced my concern politely I was told in certain words that I'm being too picky about the repair. Turns out the door was never replaced, but repaired so the owner told me he would take it in a second time to keep me happy. It must have been in the shop for 2 and a half hours before I received a message to pick it up.
