You should know that my experience with massages is limited to putting quarters into a chair at the mall and gold fish in my water bed. That being said, I have been a competitive cyclist for over a decade and am no stranger to stretching and muscle tension. I came to Resolution hoping to work through several tough knots in my legs and injuries in my shoulders. For first timers, me specifically, I was a bit anxious about the whole process, but the atmosphere as you walk in the door is calming and relaxed. My therapist worked with me on my specific concern areas. Given my tense and easily cramping muscles, I was surprised that my therapist could so closely give me the deepest massage I could handle without being too much for me. In December 2023 I found myself searching for “therapeutic massage” out of desperation and exhaustion during a rough recovery from unexpected vascular thoracic surgery. Andrea’s healing hands and knowledge have been one of the only therapies (and I’ve done them all) that helps me manage pain and stress. Massage has been a key tool in rebuilding my strength and quality of life. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and the space is very welcoming and calming. 10/10 recommend as a primary tool for recovering from surgery for facia release, lymph drainage, improved blood flow, regaining muscle and joint function, breaking up trigger points and scar tissue, and managing pain and stress. I had a massage from a male masseuse. He ended up dislocating my ac joint in my shoulder, an injury usually caused by impact. I immediately pointed out the new large lump on my shoulder that was now causing me pain and he brushed it off. I left in shock not sure what to do. I went to an emergency chiropractor the next morning and the chiro instantly diagnosed the injury. I called resolution right away to inform them of this life long injury their employee gave me and the manager was **incredibly rude.
