I discovered this boutique a year ago while on vacation from Florida, and was so impressed by the selection. A bit pricey for the quality of clothing, but eclectic enough to make it fun to shop. This year I was vacationing with family and friends in TN and my girlfriend and I made the 2 hour trip especially to shop here. The two sales ladies are a bit overly zealous in their attempts to âhelpâ you find what you want. They donât leave you alone to try on clothing and continually ask if youâre about done. This is partially due to the fact that in the over crowded floor space there are only two fitting rooms. And instead of allowing you to find your own outfits they push things on you and rush you to turn in anything that doesnât work. Then instead of leaving you to come back out on the sales floor to continue to shop, which would allow other customers a turn at the dressing room, they act like personal shoppers and run and gather more clothing for you to try on. I felt rushed and pressured into making clothing choices as a result. Then, at checkout, the sales lady who was checking out my friends purchase passed the transaction off to a clerk and started taking customers from behind me instead of checking my purchase out. I didnât say anything at first because I assumed there must be a transaction for the lady behind me that hadnât been completed before me. But then she took 2 more shoppers before me. My friend asked if they were going to help me and the clerk very curtly said, âJust as soon as I finish writing up your ticket, I am the manager and I will divert my attention to your friendâs purchase.â This came out of left field as far as I knew as we were not dominating anyoneâs attention (the 2 sales ladies were shadowing all the shoppers, not just us.) Nor were we behaving any differently than any other shopper and were rather enjoying the âhuntâ for outfits.
Once she began to write my order up, and before finalizing my friends purchase, she stated in a snarky tone, âand how is your day going so far? You seem gloomy just like the weather outside.â Up to this point, we had just dismissed the odd behaviors of the staff as quirky (one kept callling me a âgoddessâ) and had had an otherwise enjoyable time looking for clothes, even holding our tongue that they had rudely ignored me as a customer at checkout. At this point, my friend took the message and cancelled her nearly $300 purchase. I was tempted to as well since they seemed to be more focused on helping locals buying one item at a time than out of towners looking to âstock upâ for the occasional shopping trip. But I just ignored their behavior and continued with my purchase. However, their phony friendliness and poor customer service skills have led me to simply look to the label suppliers and shop direct from now on. No need to pay 100%+ markup or drive out of my way for this boutiqueâs merchandise and endure sophmoric âmean...
Read moreI can't even begin to express how amazing this store and the staff are. Half of the store on one side is all jewelry that (I believe?) is almost, if not all, fair trade. Some really unique pieces. The other half is some really awesome clothing pieces. If you are someone that LOVES layers or making a statement, this store is for you. For all of those rocker, punk, hippie, artsy and other alternative folks that are attempting to mature your style whether for aging or professional reasons, while also not losing your edge... THIS IS THE PLACE. I won't say how much I spent here either trip because it is extremely embarrassing for someone that doesn't care about brands or trends, but let's just say my first visit was more then I have ever spent in a retail shop or will ever spend in a retail shop for as long as I shall live, simply because I found too many amazing things. I couldn't choose just 2 or 3. This store is like walking into Stevie Nicks wardrobe in some ways. Or Frankie from Grace & Frankie. Seeing the conbos they put together on the bodyforms, paired with the jewelry accessories was so fun and inspirational. The staff is extremely accommodating and helpful. I was in there for hours each time I went and I hate shopping. But there's sooo much in a small space. You are able to get alot of versatile pieces that can go with so many different looks so no matter what you spend on a piece, you will get so much use out of it and I doubt anyone would even notice how often u wear a piece. This store is in my opinion the perfect place for building a minimalist wardrobe with an artistic flair to it. Seriously, just go check it out. You can't miss it with the purple building and purple decor outside. Super hip and so much fun! Than goodness I am not local, I would go broke and need a whole new house just for...
Read moreCan i give this shop 700 stars? Because i would if i could. If you love silver jewelry, prepare to spend hours there, drop a bunch of money and leave as happy as a clam. Salespeople are kind and very helpful. They will show you everything you want to see and not rush you. Maybe a tad too helpful though, making suggestions. I see why they do it, to sell and also this place has so much in it, you might not see what you like, but some of us like to be left alone to discover and shop in peace until we need something taken out to look at. Try to find a middle ground where you're helpful but don't hover. Or maybe ask the client if they like help or to be left to discover on their own. Aside from the jewelry they sell apparel, which i didn't even look at after spending a ton of time in the jewelry room, and other ornaments and trinkets from artisans from all over the world. I've been to a lot of jewelry stores all over the world and the assortment of stones and styles and items in this shop is unbeatable. Prices are incredibly fair, i would have honestly paid more for every item i bought....
