This location is quieter and has fewer people than other beaches in Malibu. Beautiful beach and private that you need to check it out!
When coming here, you can either hike up to the hiking trails to oversee Mailbu and sunset/sunrise or walk down to the beach. The stairs are finally opened to the public so that you can walk down. Excellent place for surfing, a picnic, getting tanned, sleeping, and enjoying the sun! You can walk along the coast from the stair to the other side in less than 15 mins!
Parking is limited in front of the location, but you can find more parking in Fernhill Dr without getting tickets around 5-8 mins walking distance to the starting point! Do not park or follow other cars/tourists; check the signs carefully. Otherwise, you will get over $100 for the wrong parking! No more fun getting towed or getting tickets since it's far out from the center of Malibu, so you will experience hassle if...

What is upsetting is that there are only 10-11 public parking spots on the street and all other streets around it has “No Parking” signs. Also a security guard is driving around the neighborhood to ticket on the cars parked in front of someone’s mansion. If it’s a public park for anyone to visit, they should be visitors friendly not discriminating against tourists or people who cannot afford to live there. I felt a bit disgusted by seeing the security guy driving up to the street where he spotted some tourists showing up...
Read moreA wonderful nook of a beach in the heart of Malibu. I visited with family and not only was parking relatively easy but the beach was a 20 second walk. The only negative was the restrooms were out of order with portapotties as alternative. parking charge was $15 and cash or card accepted. Be warned if your planning a day with a large group, get there early to allow easy parking for all. Parents with small children beware along all sections of beach as the surf is strong and can drag weak swimmers or children (this is for all beaches) so be vigilant, its the Pacific ocean after all. stay safe and enjoy...
